Why does every player have to pretend to be a die hard to please some of our fans? He's not a Celtic fan, we mean no more to him than any other club giving him European football. You know how we make ourselves more appealing to players we want? Pay more! We have no divine right to sign anybody, not everybody who doesn't desperately want to play for us is a primadonna or a *.

Pull out if this ungrateful * which is what he's coming across as persists with this dragging the deal out nonsense. The guy has been at more clubs than TOWIE cast members ffs, he should be jumping at the chance to join. If he's not already signed then it tells you he's not really interested, no point having players on board like that anyway.

I could see you're point if the guy had some decent records at decent clubs in decent leagues. But, as it stands, he's been at about 10 different clubs and he's only 24, he's now got a solid contract offer which imo he should be jumping at the chance. Not because I'm just a Celtic fan, but because the guy can't seriously expect much better to come his way imo. He's had one decent season in his career to date.

Well you don't have to be a genius to figure out that Celtic's a last resort for the guy. I don't think it's about money really. He clearly fancies the idea of a move to one of the other clubs mentioned. If that article's to be believed it's Bremen, Frankfurt, Betis, PSV and Twente. I can't say I blame him, they can all offer a better standard of football than us, but at the same time it doesn't make me feel very positive about the future if we were to get him.

if he's waiting for 'another offer' then Celtic should give him a better offer then.

Spanish press i've heard report him not willing to sign the contract in case someone comes in with a better offer at the last minute. He's passed the medical though, not sure about a work permit yet. Even so if true Celtic should pull out of the deal because no way should we be signing anyone who doesn't want to come here.

It may well just be a * lazy Spanish press story but would explain the delay in him being announced as ours.

If this guy doesn't want to sign or is waiting for a better deal then we should just cut or losses and say thanks but no thanks and move on before it gets too late to sign someone else.

So we all slag off the Scottish Press for writing sh!te and we are going to take the word of some Spanish rag. I won't believe anything until the deal is officially signed or he officially signs somewhere else.

    Scepovic Postpones Celtic Move

The outcome of the 'soap opera' summer will have to wait. At least one more day. Scepovic has decided to postpone until tomorrow a move to Celtic. The Sporting striker still scotch club and agree negotiated economic terms, but the Serbian striker postpones signing his contract with the possibility that he gets a better deal.

The striker spent yesterday in Madrid medical. It was the final step towards Stefan Scepovic must sign the contract with Celtic The, more complicated, above steps were already taken: Sporting and Celtic agreed (Atletico receive 2.5 million for the transfer, plus 5% on a future sale of the player); Serbia agreed to the bid submitted by the Scots and already had a visa to play in the Scottish Premier League. Missing the medical examination, which finally happened yesterday successfully in a Madrid clinic.

However, The Serbia International has decided to postpone the signing of his new contract. The Serbian is given until tomorrow, when the transfer market closes, to seal their commitment to Glasgow. Stefan wants to exhaust the term with the possibility that in the next few hours can reach out an offer that improves Celtic. Besides the set Betis also showed interest in PSV Eindhoven Serbian, German Eintracht (who came to offer 1.5 million), Twente and Werder Bremen.

TRADE According to what, in the last hours some Spanish club have also asked about the front, but interest remained just that, words.

Given this scenario, Scepovic has preferred to wait 48 hours to proceed with the signing of his contract. If he does not get a better offer, the Serbian will Celtic player tomorrow.

To be fair we have probably offered him £10k which he could probably double even in the championship.
