Finally looks like this is done, we still need another 2/3 at least before Monday, sadly I see this as our last signing of the window.

And having already completed the signing of Ghanaian internationalist Wakaso Mubarak earlier this week, the Hoops boss is hopeful that striker Stefan Scepovic will also be on board by the time the Europa League gets underway.

“I hope we can get it through,” said the manager. “He is a different player to what we have and one we needed. He is more of a targetman and a box player than the other strikers we have

“It’s about getting the right people and the right players and it’s not the easiest thing. But now things are happening with Scepovic and Wakaso and we will see if we can get more as well.”

I'd be disappointed if Scepovic is our last signing. Wouldn't be surprised, though.

A left back and a defensive midfielder are needed.

 

And probably another centerback.

Same mate said that we have got 5 in and hopefully 6 by the end of the weekend. Just sounded to me as if that would be it (could be reading too much into it) Also said he doesn't need to sell VVD but the player might change that before the end of the window.

Good. I've had enough of Stokes.

Always backed him but let's face it, he isn't good enough. He goes through spells where he plays really well but by and large he flatters to deceive. Slow as a week in the jail, forever standing in an offside position and often making stupid decisions.

He's always decent to have on the bench but he shouldn't be starting.

 

Crazy how long this is taking. Wakaso's transfer dragged in for about 2 weeks, now this is dragging on forever.

 

Hopefully we have someone in mind to go for, should Virgil ask to leave.

I know we wont have though.

Hopefully we do then, unless we are waiting on Virgil leaving, even with Virgil staying I would say we need another centerback.

 

I wouldn't mind as much about selling Van Dijk for 8-10m as long as we invested 2.5/3m of it on a decent replacement like Sholz or someone else.

But I can't see that happening, If we sell Van Dijk we will end up bringing in Richard Dunne on loan or some other dud.

This is beyond a joke now. How long does it take us to finalise a transfer? Wakaso was the same. Other clubs buy players with work permits all the time and it doesn't take this long.
