    Excellent point about modern guitarists.....Suppose if we look at the current guys Jack White must be in there too.

    He doesn't impress me that much (as a guitarist) because the majority of it is simple enough for most competent guitarists to play. (Although I do appreciate that he can write some superb riffs / songs!)

    Here's another type of playing which technically quite challenging but v impressive!
