    I'm not picky.
Works extremely hard, constantly running, full of energy and has a will to just keep on going. If he can sort his passing out he'd be a very good player for us as he just gives possession away too much for my liking. Far too many loose passes tonight, but like I say, if he can sort that out, then we could have a good one.

Totally agree with this. When we had Samaras playing left wing, Izaguirre suffered as he couldn't get forward, he doesn't have that problem if Wakaso plays. I thought they both linked up well last night, and that will only improve as they get used to how each other likes to play.

Think he's got the best shot in the squad, always very controlled, always seems to be on target. We need to work him into more shooting positions.

Works very hard which is something to be greatly valued in a player. However, I haven't seen much quality to his play. He comes across as quite clumsy sometimes.

If a player with his work rate and defensive attributes also had great quality on the ball then he wouldn't be playing for us in the first place. Thats the reality I'm afraid.

Thunk you may be right pal. Hopefully he can improve over the season and we can sign him and develop him into a quality player on and off the ball :50:

Really like this guy, like others have said, his work rate and energy is great. If he could do a bit more going forward like that goal against Salzburg then we would have a cracking winger on our hands. I suspect that his energy is his main attribute though, if he gave you lots of goals and assists along with that energy then he would have been at a better club than Rubin Kazan.

I would still like to sign him permanently though as he certainly looks like he could be an effective player for us.

Wakaso really impresses me. His energy, commitment and immense work rate is invaluable to this team. Think some are underrating his ability going forward too, he may not be the most consistent in his passing/crossing but how many wingers really are?

He will develop into a very important player for us imo.

This is how I see it.

Blistering pace, hard working but I don't expect something special when he gets the ball like I would with a winger such as Mcgeady for example. Not technically gifted.

I think if we had someone who could show a few flashes of brilliance on the other wing then he would compliment Wakaso brilliantly.

Almost his first touch of the ball for us against Salzburg was technically brilliant.

Point being, anyone can have their moment of brilliance. Wakaso is not technically gifted. I also think it's a bit of a myth that he is lightning quick. He's not that fast.

As has been said above, it was one moment. He caught the ball sweetly, plenty of players that I would describe as being technically horrible have hit a few beauties in their time. In general though he does seem to have a bit of a longshot on him.

Look at his dribbling, his passing, running...he is just a bit clumsy/one dimensional. Not my type of winger usually but I like his work rate and pace, hence why I'd like to see him stay here.

Pretty much agree with this. the thing that frustrates me about Wakaso is that he just isn't a great dribbler. Hopefully he improves on that with time/confidence but his dribbling is sub standard. I'd personally start Griffiths ahead of Wakaso tomorrow.

I'm coming across as a bit of a Wakaso hater here :smiley-laughing002:
I like him, i can see what he brings to the side, but Griffiths deserves his chance.

    Guidetti
    Stokes Johansen Griffiths

That's what i hope to see tomorrow.

Don't get the hype with him so far. He looks average to me, a bit of pace but that's it. His strength and big frame is balanced out by his pathetic diving and rolling around.
We haven't signed a decent winger in years.

I know what you are saying though.

My type of winger is a McGeady type who can show real flashes of brilliance and always have a trick or something to excite the fans and beat the full back. I don't think Wakaso has alot to offer other than pace, or his brilliant work rate. That is enough for me though to justify his place in the side as he can really help the side using both those attributes.

As I said before, if we could get someone similar to Mcgeady in on the other side I'd be happy. Mohamed Elynoussi is someone who looks like he could cause a buzz, playing for Molde in Norway so Deila will be aware of him. Even if Forrest could get back and show some of his top form we'd be laughing.

Wakaso is the kind of player I buy on FIFA just so I can give him the ball and press the sprint button.:56:

Would like to see him in CDM, love his work rate and passion but I don't think he has the quality to play out wide.
