You mean the Johansen that outshone Daniele De Rossi in midfield last week and got MoTM against Italy away from home?

Did we play against Italy aye ?

He hasn't kicked his * all season for Celtic. Plenty of players thrive at international level and are average for their clubs. My own country is the best example (McFadden, Dailly, Hutchison etc).

The game was in Norway,I watched it and his passing was brutal.

  4. Does that make him better than De Rossi? :56: he was giving the ball away loads in the game and running about like a headless chicken.

Johansen has been off form this season and would rather Henderson got a few games instead of him but he will be one of the players Ronny does not drop unless he is injured.

Not sure what would do him best, a loan spell or a gradual introduction to the first team, but I really hope to see him succeed here and get some proper games under his belt while he is still young and his game is still forming

game time might be difficult for him to come by this season with brown being crucial to us performing well , johansen being a favourite of ronnys , the re-emergence of kayal and nir bit(t)on all ahead of him fighting for 2 positions so I think a loan deal would be his best option

  7. He'll probably start making the bench again though when our other defenders are fit (Lustig, Matthews and Mulgrew) as O'Connell is only getting on the bench to fill in the U21 place as he's the only defender that can go on the bench. Denayer, Henderson and McGregor will be the 3 U21 players in the 18 man League team squad when the likes of Mulgrew and Matthews are back.

I'd like to see Liam getting some games, he did really well when called upon last season. A true box to box player is what we could be doing with atm. It must be galling for our young players to watch boys the same age excelling for The Accies yesterday. If they're good enough, get them in.

  9. Loan him to Accies..

Better to loan him and get him game time than have him wasting on our bench as he doesnt seem to be a part of Deilas plans.

*, i think i just agreed with Mcguire.

Loan him to Dumbarton. That way he can have practice this month against a team that will be extinct soon.
That could be a pub quiz question in the future.
Who was the last Celtic player ever to play against Sevco. :icon_mrgreen:

I said a while back that Ronny wouldn't be playing too many youngsters too quickly, once he realised the demands of the job.

No way will he be introducing him at the moment when he is craving a run of results.

Liam will get his shot, he's too good not to.

Got to realise hes only turned 18 a few months ago, liam has a lot to go in his development and he will get his chance but im sure he will be learning more training under ronny and working with the calibre of players we have than getting sent on loan. Once he reaches 19/20 then he'll be ready and i have a really he is being trained for that number 10 role which i believe will suit him

  17. I think he looks a class player in the making, quality, strong and a big frame for his age , good touch, plenty a dig and doesn't shy away, also scores goals, looks a natural leader ..

  18. Part of the problem is Johansen. Deila seems to think he is the best thing since sliced bread.

I agree, but every manager has/had players like that. This isn't something new with Ronny.
