One of them owns over 50% of the club and is in charge the other has done most of his job very well.

We are the dominant force in Scottish football.
Playing in a poor league with a limited budget, yet well respected across Europe (maybe not in Warsaw).
Lawell has to take some credit for this.

Desmond looks a bit like the Monopoly Man.

He actually owns about 30% of the club, if he owned more he would be forced to conclude a buy out of the rest of the shareholders. As stipulated in the PLC guidelines.

Absolutely none. Also for those sticking it to Lawell, I'm sure there was a piece on here a while back where Dermot Desmond was talking about how clubs should stand on their own to feet, live within their means and be run like any other business etc etc think Lawell is just 'following orders'.

He does a great job, I think we'd be struggling a bit financially without him. but who knows..

I like Lawwell and think he's doing a good job. I think he's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Comes with being the top man at a big club like Celtic in a wee country like Scotland and of course pleasing fans while running a football club and business.

He is a fantastic businessman and the club business is in safe hands with him.

He hasn't a clue about the football side of things though and is so out of touch with the supporters (Living wage, treatment of matchday supporters)

He has his good points but his bad points outweigh them.

But he makes jokes about the huns so I love him again...

Second in the league. A point behind Callie Thistle.

Yet another Pete thread deary me.
    Anyway -
Would we have won the league last year without him , Yes but we would also likely be less financially stable/well off.

How can you even guess where you'd be without him with no idea who would be here in his place? Its not like we'd have nobody doing his job.

No influence whatsoever. The decision was nothing to do with us. It was between UEFA and Legia.
