Designated diver, haha. Well there is a case for that. The guy that fouled him wasnae shy in taking a wee dive as well.

It was worth it to see Bitcoin get on the scoresheet

Diving is, sadly, more or less part of the game now and as some posters have said, we get caught out by not exploiting this in Europe.

    *, I've dived at 5s, so I won't comment on Derk's antics!

How the * have we all become experts at whether a person who goes down after contact has dived or not . I would imagine its a matter of bias to some extent . Every true Celtic fan would see the contact and reckon on balance it was a penalty . Everyone with their own grudge against Celtic would think that despite contact he should have defied gravity and stayed on his feet. I thought that hateful Hun McCann was completely wrong by trying to argue that by not going down immediately and then going to ground that he was diving , those were the words of a complete anti Celtic bas...of a pundit as it could equally be argued that after the contact Derk tried to stay on his feet but he wasn't able .

To me there was one major difference which meant the referee was correct. Dave went down as a result of him contacting Virgil's trailing leg , hence Virgil couldn't see what was happening and didn't contribute to what happened . Derk went down after intentional contact from McKay .

Not the first time one of our players has dived and it won't be the last either. I don't support it but it is part of football nowadays and teams all over the continent do it on a regular basis. The italians particularly are experts at it, often using it and other antics to win games as we so rightly know.

I don't mind players going down easy in the box tbh. If there is contact they have a right to go down. I think the contact on Derk actually did make him lose his balance and put him off so he was well within his right to go down, although I've not looked at the incident since the game.

It's when player go down when they literally have not been touched that I get * off, it's blatant cheating. Not sure how someone can even be in the mindset of wanting to fall over without being touched at all while playing football, it's cuntish.

I hate diver's, it's cheating when all is said and done. I agree that video evidence should be used to ban these cheats, okay it might not be possible during matchtime, but it should be reviewed within 48 hours and the incident should be dealt with by ex-referees panel.

I never want to see a Celtic player dive. Boerrigter got a wee push from McKay, but to me it was a dive and I was not happy about it. I hope Delia does have that talk with him he announced.

My first thought when it happened was "I'd go mental if that had been given against us". Think some folk are being disingenuous suggesting otherwise.

It is not ok for Barcelona to do it. The fact that diving is less accepted by Scottish football fans than south-European fans or South American fans is why I prefer the SPFL above other leagues (even though the football standard is much lower). I think we should keep it that way.

Cheating is all part of the game. Like claiming a corner when the player knows its not. But by claiming for it he's still trying to claim an advantage and sometimes they get it. Every team in world football will get a decision they shouldn't this season and we are no different.

    One word. Amoroso !!!
When he did it for Juve and we got knocked out the CL. THAT * HURT!!

I wanted that * dead after that and so did MON most probably judging by his interview after it !!

Thats why i hate it plus as well as getting a penalty or something, we can lose a man too for * all.
Out of cups, etc, its not to be encouraged !! What about Dida too for AC Milan? That nearly cost us a replay!! If you cheat at any other sport your vilified to * .
Plus you get * like Ashley Young who make a career out of it.

People think its ok when its going for them and * when its against them.
If theres contact (decent contact) fair enough but the old speedo and tom daley ones, should be banned for 5 games minimum.:shamrock:.

Neymar was allowed to do it on a regular basis in the la liga last season.he wasn't the only Barcelona player who was at it in la liga year either.so it was okay for them.

but yeah I know what you mean its more accepted in these countries.

Don't have a problem with someone going down if theres even the slightest contact. Everyone does it. I've seen players stay in their feet and get nothing so why should they bother. * was clipped and stumbled over himself. No matter how many replays you see only he knows himself. Still think he tripped over his *
