Problem is in the long run he's probably competing with Bitton. Can't see his future lying further up the pitch with us.

I dunno I think he has the skills to play as a no 10. In our system he will have to up his running and work rate though. I think he could also get a game as an inside forward on the right cutting in on his left.

Don't think he's that sort of player though, not in our system anyway. He's more of a pick pockets of space tidy player, rather than the sort of all action that Deila prefers.

Wouldn't want to see him on the wing at all though. That'd be like when we tried Ki there for me.

The thing is though Rogic played his whole career in advanced areas, i'm not sure he has the instincts for playing deeper (he has the technique). There is a lot of competition in both the bank of two and the bank of three. I will be surprised if he breaks into any position.

He's 22 and Neil Lennon played him further back as well, so since he's been here (the majority of his professional career) he's played further back.

He'll be useful either way I think but it'll be a big ask go nail down a place of his own.

Tbf, I don't think any one expected much from Bitton and Griffiths at the beginning of last season so you never know.

Yeah that is why I dont think he has the instincts to play deeper because in those games he was unimpressive. The truth is we have not seen enough of him to know if he can play deep. For me he would be choice 6 maybe 7 to play in the bank of two. He is a talented player though it is up to him to fight for a place.

Do you mean when they first signed or at the beginning of Ronny's first season? Because both players showed great form the season previously under Lenny.

Ronny's first season, I don't think a lot of people in Sept/Oct thought it was happening for them.

I'm not sure about that mate, a lot of people were expecting Griffiths to kick on from his first impressive 6 months. Bitton we all thought looked a good player when he broke into the team under Lenny and thought he was unlucky to get his injury while on international duty.

They were written off after 4/5 months or so.

Was Griff not on the verge of going on loan? After we had signed Guidetti and Scepovic..

I wasn't expecting him to be our main striker tbh.

he's definitely better suited to an attacking midfielder spot. something like where you'd see Zidane, who he's mentioned a few times as his role model

At Central Coast Mariners and for Australia, his best form was either at tip of a 4-4-2 diamond, or centrally in the 3, in a 4-2-3-1.

yes Lennon tried him a couple of times deeper, but you can hardly call it a success.

Well I certainly rated them both. Bitton was excellent at the base of the diamond and Leigh has not stopped busting his * since his first day at the club.

There was talk alright. I thought this was poor management at the time combined with Commons being frozen out as well. Sense prevailed at the end though thank *!

I agree I see him as a no 10 mainly. I do have concerns that he doesnt have a winning mentailty although this is undetermined

Everybody was raving about him end of Lenny's last season, by the time the season came in there was rumours of a loan because he didn't seem to be in Deila's plans.

When everybody came back to pre-season start of past season, everycunt was expecting a big season out of him though.

I'm optimistic about his future but he needs to start making starts more regularly to improve and I can't see where they are going to come from.

His best position is the '10' but Johansen and Commons have that nailed down. He'd make a brilliant CM if he could be sorted out defensively.

    I'm not.
He is too slow and ponderous for my liking and I can't see him cutting it here. I expect to see him flitting around the peripherals but never quite making the breakthrough required.

Slower than a week in jail. I mean, he is the polar opposite of young Stefan.

Stefan, Stuart, Anthony are all ahead of him.
