No but I think we can gauge an idea of what his best position is by his form at his previous club, what Lennon said upon his arrival and what he says himself. Upon him coming to the club he was described as a skillful midfielder with good vision and creativity, not a player like Brown, Kayal or Ledley for example. Good players but more 'box to box' midfielders.

It's common knowledge that he is an attacking midfielder who performs best behind the strikers and when he is given very little defensive duties. His game does not suit being played deep at all.

I know what you are saying about the manager knowing best but that's not always the case.

My point was that he never really got the chance to prove himself in his proper area of the park, mainly because Commons performed that role and was never taken out the side or rotated.

I'd be very surprised if Lennon or any other who has coached Rogic would see him as a deep lying midfielder. His main attributes would not be put to good use in a position like that IMO.

I agree that he seemed to struggle when Lennon was playing 4-4-2 and then he was never going to displace Commons in that role behind the strikers.

If we are going to be playing 4-2-3-1 then he would probably be best suited to that position in the middle of the 3 but I think we would need quick players flanking him to make that feasible.

I think though that if he can work on his positioning then he could definitely do a job in a 4-3-3 as the link between the midfield and attack. If played with two that can win the ball back, his passing would be ideal for quick transitions to attack.

The problem for me though is that he now faces a lot of competition and the likes of McGeouch, McGregor and Henderson are really taking their chance to impress so competition will be tougher than ever for Rogic to break in.

I remember last season a lot of players were really impressed with rogic in training, just for some reason lenny didnt fancy him, he didnt rotate much tbh did he, I reckon once he recovers from injury and trains well he'll get a fair crack of the whip

I think Deila will give him a fair chance when he's fit like he's done with everyone else, Rogic is still very young and looks to have bags of potential, too early to write him off in my opinion and Deila seems an ideal manager to help him develop.

Id rather see mcgregor get the game time and have him sold
I know he hasnt got much of a chance but mcgregor looks a better prospect and theres only be so much game time to go to the younger guys

Any news on his recovery? Most people in Australia reckon SPL is the wrong league for a player of Rogic's type, but as a Celtic fan I want him to do well. If he gets fit and is played at #10 I've no doubt he'll do well...but if there are others more suited to the boss's system...such is life.

Rogic is way too good not be a star somewhere...it's just a matter of where.

Just browsing social media forgot all about this geezer where has he been? Understand that he missed the World Cup and with our midfield being pretty big he's not got a chance in * of making it here tbh he's never going to anyway

So eh aye is he still injured

We loaned him out to some Aussie team in Jan, I expected him back now but apparently it was a 12 month deal which I think is a bit stupid and pointless.

He'll never make it at Celtic now and is another wasted signing.

He isn't good enough. The fact he had to come through a weird advertising gimmick tells you everything you need to know. Players that are good enough get clubs before they go to Nike.

He's seen as one of Australia's biggest prospects for a long time. I say keep the guy and give him his chance in the first team. If he's * then sure, get rid; but don't bring him in, give him a couple of sub appearances and dismiss him immediately. To me he's a guy that plays the Kris Commons role and could therefore provide excellent cover.

This signing young players and getting them to * without a game does my head in.

He'll probably go and he wasn't even given a proper chance, which is the sad thing.

it would be good if ronny does a rotation system and gets players game time

under Neil the team was practically never changed
