Absolutely no need. You have the Belgian coach who doesn't discriminate against our league and has shown that with 2 player's called up in a year, but he feels he has to throw in a parting shot, long after leaving

Said Galatasaray was a great experience. Much more so than Celtic which was too easy.

Guy was like a rabbit stuck in headlights when he first came here. We made him with the help of big vvd making it easy. Imagine if he played next to efe for a year. * would be claiming the Scottish league was the hardest he's ever been in :56:

I find it needlessly disrespectful. We gave him a chance. If you can't say anything good about the club who gave you your professional breakthrough, shut yer mouth

It's annoying cause I really thought Denayer had respect for the chance we gave him. Honestly lost a bit of respect for him

No need for that to be honest.

I was always of the impression he really valued his time here. It might have been too easy but if it wasn't for us he wouldn't have gone to feckin' Galatasaray.

He's not slagging the club, if anything he's complimenting the club by playing for celtic the opponents were easy

So the only reason he looked good was because it was too easy..... Undermining his own performances as well as the league.

I would like to know the context of the wording before completely disowning him.

Did he say he found the entire time too easy and a waste? Bad mouthed the club and league? Or did he pay some respect, say the chance was good but inevitable he needed the next step up to continue his career - hence not pushing to come back here for the second year?

'The Belgian — who helped the Hoops to a league and cup double in 2014/15 — spent last term at Galatasaray and is now waiting to see if he has a future at Manchester City under new boss Pep Guardiola.

Denayer, 20, said: “I’ve not spoken to Pep Guardiola yet. I want to play for City and if I can’t then I will have to find another club where I can play.

“Galatasaray was a great experience for me — much more so than at Celtic where it was too easy.”

    Just the usual then.

If the wee * is to be lauded for his domestic displays then he as to be aprtioned some of the blame on our European outings, which at times we looked suspect at the back.

Never understand why folk have to have a dig at their former clubs, especially if they had a positive experience. He enjoyed Turkey - good, why bring up Celtic at all?
