    No, we dont know as he's never been tested at the top level consistantly.

    What I meant was I dont think Varane is as good as people would say he is, he is very fast, possibly the fastest centre-half I know but doesnt make you a great player, he is very awkward on the ball touch/control/passing wise. Remains to be seen how good he actually is as well.

    To me, Denayer is a good young player. But I can't rate him up there with the best young defenders(nevermind the best in the world) until he's been tested at a higher level.

    He is, watch how he controls or passes the ball. I wouldnt say he was that technically skilled, especially for a Real Madrid player. Everytime i've seen him i've always thought he looked uneasy on the ball one of those types who look like they concentrate too hard to control the ball or lack the confidence to make long range passes.

    That is absolute nonsense, he is far better technically than Pepe, who i actually rate quite highly. Passing usually crisp and flat, very rarely knocks it out the park, can knock the ball past opponents, can dribble. If it weren't for the fact he can't play two games in a row he would be one of the best cb's in the world.

    I think Varane is already one of the best in the world, even with the lack of football. He is incredible, never seen someone time a challenge like he can.

    Seen Aymeric Laporte mentioned he will be one of the top CB's in the world, i really hope he stays with Athletic for a few more years though, doesnt help him having to play next to Gurpegui who is finished
