    Yup.

Apart from him, Bellamy and Robbie Keane are the only good loans we've had in my memory (I'm happy to stand corrected). But they were completely different loans. Good luck to the guy.

Kamara and Guidetti weren't bad loan signings. Samaras and Boruc too if you can count them.

Boruc, Samaras, Guidetti, Keane, Bellamy, Forster, N'Guemo, Vega.

All ranging from good to excellent loan signings, we've actually done very well using the loan market. Even the fact there were some duds verifies that using loans is a good method as you can pap them back to their club if they're * for us I.e. Tonev, Braafheid, Berget.

*. That's why i put that proviso in there!

Totally forgot that Boruc, Sammy and Forster were here on loan first. (Strange one Boruc if you think about it, can understand players in the EPL needing experience/the clubs wanting them off their wage bill but why would a Polish club accept a loan to buy rather than a straight transfer? Would we have accepted Vic going on a loan to buy, doubt it)

Wouldn't say N'Guemo was great but maybe he didn't get much of a chance. Thought Vega was a nutter and if he'd stayed longer the fans would've hated him.

Not anti-loan in any way. What we did by bringing in too many loans at the start of last season is wrong though. Too many players that didn't give a *.

What a player, proud to say we played a part in helping this guy along his path to the top, going to be one of the best in a couple of years.

Went off at 4-1 with 5 mins to go and it ends up 4-3:smiley-laughing002:

I was still holding a bit of hope that we would get him back for another season, but after that I'm 100% sure he will be starting for City next season.

Really happy for the lad, wish him all the best for the future.

I can see him getting a decent chance in the Man City first team next season, would he count towards their home grown quota because of the age he moved there ?

I wonder if Real have been changing his diet and that's what's wrong with him...

It's there any chance of us getting him on another loan... Surely he won't be a first team regular this season, I know he's extremely talented but still just 19/20... Maybe we could chance a 2nd loan spell and give him a shot at the CL alongside former teammate boyata

    Looks as though he'll be bound for Lyon if he's not staying with City this season. A crack at the Champions League (which is all we can really offer him), and a stronger domestic league to play in;

I think the chances of him coming back here now are virtually dead in the water.

When he initially signed with us? Don't be so stupid. If he'd come here and been ordinary there would have been a chance we'd have got him this coming season.

He didn't though, he did well so other sides are well aware of what he has to offer.

Shame, hopefully he would choose us not only because he knows the team but because of Boyota
