I think Denayer will get loaned out again. As I can't see him getting first team assurances at City just yet, but it's a question of where. Realistically he could walk into any defence in the prem below in the top six, so if I Swansea or an Everton came in for him, I can see him choosing them over us, as a year leading a solid defence against the same players city will be up against the year after, would get him into their team for the future.
Our only hope is to have already qualified for the champions league before that decision comes around.

I know I'm bias but I genuinely feel he needs another year of first team development under his belt before he is Man City first team quality. So I would be advising another year out on loan and in that case another year at Celtic makes perfect sense.

I reckon a EPL team may/should consider buying VVD and loaning Jason

Needs assurances he's going to get game time at City. He's actually got his head ridiculously screwed on at 19, clearly does his time in the gym as well, probably the most athletic looking in our team.

Im still hoping he'll come back. We need another centre half for when Virgil leaves and he already knows the club, will know Boyata and hopefully we'll have champs league football.

    * me exemplifies the difference between us and the huns...compare Denayer with Moshni in playing terms and conduct.

His contract is up this time next year. We should be watching how this plays out like a hawk.

He also has Karim Rekik to contend with whos just spent 2 seasons starting at cb with PSV. Probably just as good as Denayer.

I dunno man, the folk on Bluemoon appear to rate Denayer higher than Rekik. However, it seems they have watched more of Denayer than Rekik.

That means nothing, obviously. However I do reckon myself he is better than Rekik.

Rekik is like Van Dijk in how he plays. Dont think he is as good as Van Dijk though.

Would definitely be in favour of getting Rekik in if possible.

The only problem would that if we kept VVD then one of them would have to play "out of position" because they are both more comfortable at left centre back.

Cant see us keeping VVD after the qualifiers tbh.

Rekik isnt that good, not as good as Van Dijk or Denayer anyway a poorer footballer and worse defender. Could still do a job for us but quite a dodgy player I think, id prefer someone like him as more of a back-up with Efe and Mulgrew.

I haven't seen him play, but I get the impression that Denayer is a far better prospect than Rekik.

Haha, maybe change that to realistic. He'd only have a couple of days after the 2nd leg of the last qualifier so maybe we might keep him, but he wants to leave.

In my opinion, its likely that he will leave Celtic. I'd be incredibly happy if he stays.
