I thought Denayer was outstanding tonight. Hard to believe he's only 19, he plays as though he has 10 years experience at the top level behind him!

Going to be a top player I think.

At some stage of his career he is going to be up there as one of the best defenders in the world.

Keeping him for another year has to be our priority in the summer.

Too many noises that he wants to go back to Man City next year. If that's the case then we have had a great young player for 12 months without paying a fee - good business. So we move on and bring in some other new faces...assuming VVD goes, maybe O'Connell and I'd try Biton at the heart of the defense with him, allowing Armstrong to pair up with Broonie in the middle of the park.

We paid over 3 and a half million in loan fees this summer so i would say we paid at least 700k for him probably more. Signing him on a permanent deal should be our priority.

Would love to test Man City's resolve but think this is a non-starter at 19 he will play at a higher level next season.

I've only come to this in past few weeks. Ronny wants a big mobile Central Defender who has skill on the ball and isn't afraid to take players on and move upfield. His leaning is more in a defensive than attacking position. He has what it takes to be a Classic Modern CD.

Buy him with a triple money sell back clause. Its like a big loan if he is good enough he can go back to citeh if not he can go elsewhere in a few years, all the while he gets game time and experience. Everyone wins

Would love it but the best we can hope for is another years loan deal. Loan deals with no option to buy should never be considered for a club of our size. We end up developing another clubs players.(unless the loan is for two years min)

The lad is in the National Squad. He is19/20 and is going to improve. If City think he's up to it they'll keep him, if not I'm sure other Clubs in European Leagues will have taken note of his talent. I love Celtic and started watching The Bhoys over 50 years ago but why would a young talented Lad with everything before him, sign with us on a long term contract?

Showed he still has a lot to do to reach his potential. Great learning experience for him.

He can ask some of his buddies from the youth system at citeh. None of them break through they just sign established players. I dont expect this to change so he will likely end up back in their development squad.

Right now he knows our club, teammates, manager etc. He may get champion league game time, medals, and the opportunity to move to a club for more money in 2 or 3 years. It is a good move for him and i think you are showing a lack of ambition aul fella! :icon_mrgreen:
