It really wouldn't be that unrealistic to sign him on a permanent deal, considering how cheaply they're willing to let the far more established Nastasic go for.

    same he is too good

there are probably not many teams in europe he wouldnt get a game for, he'd walk into atleast half the teams in the epl and germany, probably 75% of the teams in Spain and Italy and basically everyone else who doesnt play in those leagues except psg

he might go on loan to a team like benfica or galatasaray who will be guarenteed champions league football and play in a better league than us or to everton/southampton/newcastle to get him epl experience

his one year in scotland has already established that hes far too good to be playing here, so youd imagine he'll step up to a more difficult league/better team

Honestly I dont know. If we had Mangala in our team, we would prob be raving about him. Anyway I'm not saying it's justified but that league tends to be very cut throat when it comes to players & in order for Denayer to be a first pick he would need to first of all be given a chance & I can't see them even doing that, I think they'd see that as too risky.

Highly depressing that he is the same age as me.

    * excellent player, his timing of the challenge is spot on. Probably his best attribute IMO.

This, which is sad for us. Chelsea and Man City can basically play the transfer window at ease.

They just buy good, young players and loan them out, upping the level each and every time and then selling him for profit. Like for example Denayer could go to us, then on loan to an Everton then someone like Ajax/Benfica/Porto and then sold for 3/4/5 times whatever he was bought for.

    Scunnering (if thats a word?:smiley-laughing002:)

City will want him loaned out to a team in a stronger league to get more experience

Wouldn't be surprised if City took him back but also went for VVD. They have a good understanding and Kompany although still good can't go on forever.

Neither him nor Van Dijk will be here next season.

That's why we've kept Ambrose in my opinion.

To lose him and Virgil before the CL qualifiers would be a horrendous double hammer blow for us, we can't allow it to happen. We would be absolutely *.

Aye,think city have even said as much.

Think even if he wants to stay another year they will want him moved for tougher games.

has been impressive since coming back from injury and has formed a solid partnership with Van Djik. I think we look more solid than ever at the back since RD took charge.. Long may it continue. Altough i sometimes dont think that Denayer is the best in the air, he is positionally sound.

He isn't that tall so against bigger strikers he will struggle in the air. He makes up for it with other attributes though.

He's probably a good example of where we should be going as a club. Instead of just playing big physical players we should try to develop and play actual footballers with some technique. I'd love to see him stay another year.

Was very impressed with how he figured out Tankulic today. That guy looked pretty decent and caused us a few problems first half when not up against Van Dijk (who was, sorry but it has to be said, imperious); by the second half Denayer had figured him out (or had taken some advice from Ronny, JC, or Virgil at half-time) and had him in his pocket.

Very impressive for such a young, relatively inexperienced guy.
