Yeah strike up a deal to nurture and improve another clubs youth so that they make a fortune out of it and we end up with nothing to the detriment of our youth. Sounds * wonderful.

I'm sure if Deila believed we had a youth player who came close to the abilities of this guy he would be playing him.

    Unfortunately, we most likely don't.

How is it strange? He's a good prospect, so he's gonna come here potentially not ready for first team football, we're gonna take however long to get him up to speed then send him back a better player.

And we never will if we strike up deals to foster youth players from EPL sides.

If we qualify for CL, then it maybe deemed useful, but if not I don't see the sense.

Celtic should be able to play 2 members on here at CB and still win the league.

What we're going to have on our books this season is a player that we would have had no chance of getting any other way than on loan.

If we can get players like this in for the short-term for no transfer fee, then I don't see the issue? He'll come in and add some much needed numbers to a small squad.

Deila still has money to spend, so guys like this are a bonus.

Is he ready for first team football here? If not he adds * all to the squad. If he his that worries me the level our squad is at but the signing would at least be beneficial in some way.

I'd guess he'll be ready for first team football here, especially if he was looking at making the break through into the Manchester City 1st team squad this season.

It's a good signing with little risk. People should just accept it for what it is.

If he does have money to spend for other positions, then I could see where you are coming from. Whether he does indeed have money to spend, remains to be seen.

All those English * that have been saying Celtic are a Championship standard team seem to have been proven right.

If he was looking at making a break through to their first team squad why would he be coming here? Surely they'd only loan him to us if he wasn't ready for their first team squad and they wanted us to get him up to speed, otherwise where would the benefit be for them? Just gonna be more * floating about the squad unless VVD or Efe are on their way out.

First of all good luck to the lad, I hope he performs well for us.

I can't imagine he was serious about having much hope of a breakthrough to be honest.

He is behind Kompany, Mangala, Demichellis, Nastasic, Boyata and Rekik. * I reckon even Richards would be ranked ahead of him.

The fact the manager lamented loan signings with no option to buy, makes this seems a very strange one. All these loans mean that it's likely we are going to have to build another team next year, bewildering.

Where is the long term strategy?

We spent millions in the last window. And the window before that. And the window before that. And the window before that...

Has it been confirmed that there's no option to buy or is that speculation?

Also how many loan deals can we make as a club? Is there a cut off point? And how many can we name in the side at the one time? 5,6 or 7 just wondering cause I seem to remember Watford having a * load of loan players but they came from the owners other sides.

Mangala wasn't there. Boyata is older and will no longer be seen as a prospect who can make the grade there. Rekik isn't much better than Denayer. Richards is a fullback and will be off soon enough.

He would have been behind Kompany, Demichelis and Nastasić and perhaps Rekik in the pecking order. Might have played in the cups.
