I'll take that as a "no" then. I guess the fact that someone as interested as you, all the legia supporters, the existence of the internet and the whole legal team you have - and that you STILL can't come up with any precedent at ALL means you are struggling.

Your childish answer also proves you had to go on the defensive, rather than attempt a factual answer. And your "knowledge" of the nuances of this matter are what you have been trying to argue the merits of your case on.

You and legia have no case. It doesnt exist and, until the rules are changed, you never will.

I guess that's quite unlucky for you. Oh dear.

Or it just shows that I have better things to do then research something like that which would probably take several days. There are people hired by the club to do that, respected lawyers who get paid for it. Why the * would I spend my time on it just to appease some guys supporting a team who can`t even beat their opponent on the pitch in 3rd stage of CL qualification?

What's worse is that Legia Warsaw are currently playing a league game, plenty of links around for it and yet our wee pet Damian remains glued to this site arguing the toss.

    Some Legia fan.

My logic does work as I have given an example of how a lesser punishment would not have been suffice where your example is just out of the blue. Obviously cutting your hands off is extreme but there would be lesser punishments in that case which would work. For example they could fine you and that would likely be enough. Now being the predictable person you are, I know you'll say 'but surely a fine would work as a punishment for Legia with that logic'. I'll tell you no. The fine would have to be something that is properly crippling in order to work. Due to the fact that you could get into the Champions League and then make a huge amount of money, you would need to be fined more than you could make in order to make an example of you. I don't think UEFA would issue a fine like that. This means that the boot was the only way.

It's quite obvious that he is the Legia chairman.

Statement on CAS website just a wee while ago

"Lausanne, 15 August 2014 - The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) registered today at 17:30 a statement of appeal filed by the Polish club Legia Warszawa against the decision of the UEFA Appeals Body confirming the result 3-0 (forfeit) in favour of Celtic FC against Legia in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The UEFA considered that Legia had fielded an ineligible player (Bartosz Bereszynski) during the match.

Legia requests urgent provisional measures from CAS allowing the Polish club to participate in the play-offs of the Champions League (20 & 26 August 2014). More generally, the club requests that the UEFA decision be set aside and that all sanctions against the club and the player Bereszynski be annulled.

The CAS has immediately initiated an arbitration procedure and the Respondents UEFA and Celtic FC have been invited to file written observations. A decision on request for provisional measures is likely to be issued on Monday 18 August around 18:00 (Swiss time)."

Legia aren't asking for much are they lol

If CAS do allow them to win appeal it would make a mockery of uefa and their rules

    So they want to be

    1. Reinstated
    2. The ban of the player annulled from last season.
    3. Celtic's seeded place at expense of ludograts
    4. Why not just ask for Maribor to be thrown out to or a bye to the final!

Aye nae bother. We can compare Legia being deducted 3 goals to getting your hands cut off for shoplifting.

Aye might hurt that, but it's not likely tae happen.

There are various options open to CAS

    1. Uphold uefa decision of 3:0 forfeit win
    2. Partial uphold where legia get reinstated and a fine because the result was not effected by the player entering the field of play
    3. They have to hold appeal at a latter date due to uefa and probably celtic not consenting to a full haring.

I personally think they may look at option 2 as they may deem the punishment too severe in light of the actual result therefore we would play the Kazakhs but * knows how we would get there would open the biggest can of worms ever but I cannot believe CAS can tell uefa what to do!

This could make a mockery of football and the rules in general!
