I take it from your silence that this forum is indeed visited, not by this small number of idiots you talk about, but by your average Legia fan and hence, the inaction over neo-facsist symbols confirms the suspicion that not only is this tolerated within the Legia fanbase but generally accepted. Unless of course those that run the forum or visit it are too scared to do anything about it over the internet :87:

It was a walkover. Forfeit=walkoever. Disqualification is not the same as walkover.

No, the punishment doesnt fit the crime. It is according to rules, and thats the reason rules will have to be modified in the future to reflect those with fielding ineligible player. UEFA can still diqualify or forfeit a team, but if they feel thats not justified (as is the case here) they wont have to.

No, havent seen that forum. Thats why my silence. As opposed to some people here, I don`t speak about things I have no knowledge about, for example what happens at other stadiums that I havent visited multiple times.

Ok pal, who gives a * what happene couple of years ago, or even last season if the players that played major part in those successes are already gone from the club?

If Real suddenly sells Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema, Rodriguez, Xabi Alonso, Kroos, Casillas, Navas, Isco, Ramos, Pepe, Modric, Coentrao, Marcelo, without brining anyone in return, are you still going to claim they are the best team currently because of successes they had in the past?

Thats kind of what Celtic did (of course on much smaller scale), so no. At this point they are worse team than Legia and by quite a lot.

Yep, thats why I said Legia scored 6 goals while Celtic scored 1. That still holds true, no matter what gets decided behind the closed doors.

Going by UEFA's unbiased approach and scoring, it looks awfully like 4-4, from what I can tell. Albeit my eyes aren't what they used to be.

So who scored the 4 goals for Celtic? :icon_mrgreen:

And did your fans felt the same after leaving a game half an hour before it was over being down 2-0? :D

You are making a fool of yourself trying to question who was a better team in this matchup

Ok PAL, you know absolutely nothing about football if you believe Legia are better than Celtic by "quite a lot", Legia will never be better than Celtic. As I said before, Celtic were in pre season when they played Legia, if they get them in the middle of the season when Celtic are firing on all cylinders then it will still be a walkover allright, but of a different variety

    * is your problem? You come on here implying that we have "problems", wont expand on it even though you've been politely asked and now you are insulting people?

You're right, we do have problems. Fans like you.

Again the rules are clear that a 'suspended' player results in a 3-0 defeat, their is no sliding scale on punishment as their is for an 'ineligible' player. at no point is he an 'ineligible' player, the only way he could be considered an 'ineligible' player would be if he played in the tie against St Pats, he would have been both 'suspended' and 'ineligible' because he wasn't registered.

If you look at the punishment solely its a 3-0 defeat in that 1 game. its consequences of 2 missed penalties and an away goal that Legia find themselves out of the competition.

If you change the rules it could potentially have far reaching consequences. during a regular CL season (group stage) you have a set number of players to choose from if one gets suspended you have that sqaud -1 and you cant substitute players in and out if they are suspended, so I cant see how the qualifiers can be different, also the team doesn't feel the full effect of the punishment as they would do normally if they can register a full complement of players and leave a suspended player out.
