I think, because of the appeal failing, there is an automatic 2 match ban added on. In this case the SFA have waived that.

STV reported: Sanction reduced from 9 to 7 games because: "Mitigating circumstances such as the short duration of the incident and lack of premeditation"

 

If Tonev has said he didn't know the word *, then later claimed his did in fact know the word, it throws his credibilty in doubt.

 

Apparently Tonev admits saying 'Get your hands off me' but denies adding 'you black *'.

How can the tribunal find Tonev guilty of saying something, when Logan said he said something different ?

 

It just makes his view of events as unreliable as Logan's as his version was also disproved. The only agreement between Logan and the committee was he used the b**** c***.

 

This is the most damning of the SFA.

I thought that's what that said too, but if you look again I'm sure Grant corrects it.

That was my interpretation after reading it again.

 

He then corrected it with the next tweet I' m sure.

 

SFA incompetent * are setting a dangerous precedent now. If there's clear evidence that shows him up to be a racist I'd want to see him punted ASAP but there's been * all. Absolute madness.

 

I took this to mean he was correcting a mistake from the first tweet.

 

And Logan got sent off after the game against us for foul & abusive lanuage, slightly hypocritical to take his word for it if they are to soon give him a ban as well

There is no evidence how can there be this ruling? Celtic should really take this as far as they can. It sets a precedence.

If he had just said "get your hands off me you *", would we still be having this case?
Had he said "get your hands off me you black person" would that be a crime?

 

What was the mistake though? The claim from the tribunal?

Has he clarified what he got wrong?

 

That's an absolute joke. They can't even agree on what was said at the start but are happy to crucify him for what was apparently said at the end?

Tonev doesn't come out looking great either though, claiming he didn't know the word * but then saying he actually did.
