Aleksandar Tonev

He has lived in Britain since last June, how do you know he doesn't speak English? And if you've ever spent any time in a change room, you'll know that pretty much the first thing any non-English speaker learns is how to swear.

 

I would say lesson learned on this one for Tonev (if he did say it), he's a foreign person, in a foreign culture he deserves to be cut some slack....lets move on.

If he was to do it again that would be another story....

Don't be so naive. I know spanish french and Italian swear words. Merde, puta, bafangu etc. but I couldn't string a sentence together in either language.

 

That's the feeling I have on this issue too.
Get the feeling the lad is being set up by the Aberdeen full back. I don't see any new player making his debut for a big club, taking a risk like that.

It's always better to assume rumours are untrue until proved otherwise.

I'm not saying I'm taking it with a pinch of salt but unless there's any corroboration or valid proof then it's not something to massively discuss.

Certainly I wouldn't be stating "if this is true it's an absolute disgrace stance" type of thing either.

 

Can I assume you adopted a similarly broad view of Saurez?

 

It's not exactly a rumour though is it?
A direct accusation has been made and it's being investigated.
I hope it's not true but, on a forum, don't see the problem with discussing it.

And who exactly are these so called "racist scum off this site"?.

I have read all the comments and so far I have not seen one that would depict any poster as being a "racist".

I have however read posts where Celtic fans have stated,that we should hold back judgment until we find out if there is any truth in these,very serious,allegations,and rightfully so.

Now,I have no time for racism but I also have no time for people who call others "racist scum" on a football forum,when the only thing that these "racist scum" are asking,is that we all just wait a wee bit until all the evidence is put forth.

As I said these are very serious allegations,for both players.

 

Murphy 88 I have seen different versions of the Scottish media videos . I have seen Leigh Griffiths sit down and have heard people continue to sing about Skacel's a fuc.... refugee. What I have not heard is Leigh Griffith's voice ..

Funny enough you say that you saw Griffith's jumping up and down and that makes you say he was singing . True it would make you say that , if you wanted to believe bad about Griffiths. However as you admit yourself you have no real evidence .

To be honest, that is about the lamest attempt ever to defend Griffiths. So bad it's actually funny man!

Back to Tonev - no smoke without fire? Better hope so, because now the club have come out and defended him if he is in fact guilty (and found to be) then his time with us could well be over before it's even started.

 

Barring video evidence, I'm not sure how Tonev can be found guilty of racist abuse, or Logan can be found out lying. I think it is just going to be one player's word against the other, which really won't prove, or disprove anything. My personal opinion, is that there has been words between the players, and Tonev has either been misinterpreted, or has racially abused Logan. I just don't see the Aberdeen player plucking this from fresh air.

As I've already said, I feel sorry for the innocent party in this.
