Pretty shocked that some people on here don't consider the phrase in question to be racist.
It's quite clearly not acceptable language and I thought that most people knew that in this day and age.
We can't condemn the guy just yet but, if this story turns out to be true, he should be (and will be) told to * off.

I was talking about this post in particular, not yours.
I may have misunderstood the above but it would appear to defend the phrase.
Anyway, not sure what the merit is in arguing over what type of abuse is the worst.

 

i can see where you are getting it from this post but what he is referring to is that black * in some areas means dirty *, manky * smelly *

 

Have you ever lived in Scotland? Calling someone a black * is the exact same as telling them to go and get a wash. Maybe that's what Tonev was saying:smiley-laughing002: Maybe the guy needed a wash and was a bit stinky pooey?

I have lived in Glasgow all of my 33 years however and have never heard that phrase used in anything other than a racist manner.

 

A doubt he will. But he may know black * means one is a smelly individual. Me or you can't answer that as we don't know if he does.

I personally find it petty that a grown man would go whining to the referee and file complaints with the SFA. I'm not condoning racism in anyway as I am against it but still I think in the heat of a match verbal abuse among players is common and learning to handle it is part of being a professional. If everyone ran to the officials when they were verbally abused there would be more aguing than there would be football. I suggest Logan mans the * up in future if he wants to push on as a footballer. However, IF Tonev has issued a racial remark, I do hope he is suitably punished, but in my opinion it seems to be a big deal out of nothing.

Because of your comment below(and a only asked you once previous to this one which you didn't answer so some chill out) A was shocked that you think calling someone a black * is racist yet calling someone a ginger * isn't. Both are the same and pretty offensive. Both are rather racist or none of them are, you can't pick and choose. Or you can it's your opinion but a very silly one if it is the case!

Not sure why you are keen to press this particular point. Why does it matter?
If Tonev is proven to have used this term he should be sent back to villa- that's my opinion. Where ginger girls come into it I don't know.
