If this is found out to be correct, then surely it will mean an end to his time here. However, I thought the same with Griffiths after the "Skacel" incident , but he is still pulling on the hoops. Then again, we paid money for Griffiths, where as Tonev is only on loan, so the board might take a different stance.

Hopefully this is a false claim from Logan.

worse things have happened in football than a player falsely accusing another player of racism. Can you honestly say you would be that surprised if it was found Logan was talking *

Initial thought was that Tonev did play for lech Poznan which I am sure with history of polish teams isn't exactly politically correct.

However nothing can be said until fully investigated. Innocent until proven guilty.

If Logan was abused why hasn't he come out and said anything? you'd think all the info would be out by now

Really hope this is not true. Will wait to see the outcome of the investigation.

We will know more about it after today, as Aberdeen complained to the referee about it, and it's in his report which we will find out today at some point.

What a ridiculous statement to make. There's a difference in football when it comes to 'gaining an advantage' ie diving etc but saying a player would accuse someone of a racial slur to get him sent off, knowing the long term implications of such an accusation, is absolutely ridiculous.

    Get a grip mate.

I personally don't think Logan would lie about this. He might have misheard Tonev, that is a possibility, but I can't see him just completely making the story up. I think it's either a case of Tonev's words have been misinterpreted, or Logan's claims are correct.

People would be more inclined to believe it because he has a history of doing similar things.

That's what happens when you be a *, people believe it when you get accused of being a *.

The club should have had Griffiths out on his * ear after his * ( a man with previous racist incidents on his rap sheet) so if Tonev did indeed racially abuse Logan then I cant see the club doing much... which would be disgusting IMO. The club have already rallied behind the player so to speak.

That being said, Aberdeen have reported it. The player himself reported it to his captain, manager, referee and match official... all in a 15 minute period at half time, so it would appear he was indeed upset about something.

edit. My mistake, the incident was said to have taken place n the second half, and all reports to officials and personne, including match delegate were made AFTER the game.

Celtic chiefs fronted the Bulgarian about the alleged incident and a club spokesman last night said: “We have spoken to the player and he has stated the accusation made is not true.”

    thats all so far.
