We would get of with a fine I think. We have good reputation as good and friendly fans and UEFA will take that into account.

You lot are coming down too hard on the fan I think. He's stupid, yes, but I really don't think he meant anything by it. He was just extremely ecstatic and couldn't hold it in, wanted to run and celebrate with the team. On the way thought "well I'm here already might as well have a laugh at Dida." Gave him a light tap on the shoulder...

Ban for life is a bit harsh, I feel bad for the moron

The scumbag has been trying to make money out of this ffs. Asking if he'd get paid for telling his side of the story to a newspaper.

The guy was guilty of nothing but sheer exhuberance. Yes he was a complete idiot but the SS approach of Celtic FC of banning him for life is more typical of politicians and their knee * reactions. What right do they have to ban this fan or any fan from away matches? * off

I red that in the record, the said he approached a paper not theirs i take it? or how did they know or did they give the * some cash for his inside story. I wouldn't put it past the papers to give him a weekly collumn.

This * better hope no serious punishment comes our way or he may well have to leave Scotland as he suggested.

No sorry but Celtic have to be seen in the eyes of UEFA to be treating this the way they have. when it comes to a hearing thier going to ask Celtic "So what exactly have you done to ensure that this will never happen again?" Celtic will say "Well we've spoken to the fan in question and banned him for life to set an example to the other * trumpets out there that think that thats acceptable behaviour"

Celtic are the ones in the dock over this for failing to control thier own fans with the potential to be docked points/kicked out of the UCL/fined or forced to play behind closed doors.

The guys a * and should have known better and that goes for all fans who thought that what he did was acceptable. Nip it in the bud straight away. The guy should consider himself lucky he's only getting banned personally i'd ask the * to pay the fine if we get one.

I'm 100% behind Celtic's decision to ban this *. It sends out a signal to any other idiot who might consider doing likewise.

He could have jeopardized our chances in the competition, and for that he should never be allowed near a Celtic game again. We don't need the risk of his like at our games.

One act of stupidity it may have been, but we are the talk of European football because of it.

i have to laugh playing behind closed doors would mean they would have to refund 60 000 supporters, thats £ 3 million.Do you honestly think that that is an accurate fine?

If it did it would most likely be played next season, behind closed doors that is.

Points deduction is laughable.People need to think for themselves instead of listening to the hysteria of the media. We will be playing in front of full crowds for the remainder of this Champions League campaign
