If your chairman was unable to contact a multimillion pound business during business hours, that says more about his incompetence than it does about our honour, or do you have in your imagination a vision of Peter Lawwell running round the offices at Celtic park with dozens of phones ringing all over the place screaming "don't answer it, we're not in!"? :31:

Celtic very properly stayed out of the decision. I as a Celtic fan can say that I thought the decision was scandalous, our manager even said it seemed too harsh on Legia, but for Lawwell or anyone on our board to come out and comment on his opinion about a decision that had nothing to do with Celtic would have been extremely unprofessional.

Forgive me but unprofessional is exactly how I would describe the people running your club.

No one at Celtic said that. If your chairman or any journalist claims that, they are lying.

Celtic is now run as a PLC. Our board are legally required to maximise shareholder value. Lawwell would lose his job if he did anything else.

There you go again, attacking us when we have done nothing wrong. Mate, I understand your anger and frustration, I would be exactly the same in your place. Please be clear, though, that I would not be expressing my anger at Legia Warsaw and their fans; I would be expressing my anger at UEFA who you know fine well are the ones that made this decision.

What right do you have to come on a Celtic message board and attack our club without a shred of evidence that we were involved? You talk about honour, well in my opinion honourable people do not slander other people's clubs without any evidence.

We have pride son, we also have money. We're halfway through to the group stages and Legia were utter * in the Europa last season.

Put out the qualifiers by The New Saints - i am reading that right am i not - put out by the champions of Wales. Then lost almost every game in the Europa, lost five, won one.

Now you win a game against a weakened Celtic side, with a new manager, looking to re-build, having no money for transfers and all of a sudden you want to compare yerselves with Barcelona.

In six months time we'll see where you are and where we are. A lot of that is to do with money, money we now have and you lot don't. So that puts Legia in the position of having to sell players.

Aktobe can cause Legia problems, they put out Steau Bucharest in the last round. You nervous son? You should be. Legia go out it's a fire sale round at your place and that's the reality of it.

Meanwhile we're signing good players gradually building up towards a successful campaign in the Champions' League.

I hope we don't meet again for a generation. If we meet any time in the next 20 years, I feel genuinely sorry for the police.

Where were you when the Polish fought Hitler? Probably a wee twinkle in a Nazis baw.

Have a read....On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland. The Polish army was defeated within weeks of the invasion. From East Prussia and Germany in the north and Silesia and Slovakia in the south, German units, with more than 2,000 tanks and over 1,000 planes, broke through Polish defenses along the border and advanced on Warsaw in a massive encirclement attack. After heavy shelling and bombing, Warsaw surrendered to the Germans on September 27, 1939. Britain and France, standing by their guarantee of Poland's border, had declared war on Germany on September 3, 1939.

You were defeated in a matter of weeks, worse than the French you surrender monkey! You forgot to mention the shame a lot of your countryfolk brought on you all when you volunteered and worked the concentration camps and helped to round up the jews and intellectuals. A lot of your shame still remains covered up today.

    Enjoy your game tonight :86:

    * knows.

Don't know what he was on about anyway, apparently no Scotsmen fought in the War and the Poles were the ones who won it single handedly for the allies.

Hitler was also alive in 1044 apparently.

I blame the Legia chairman to be honest. I understand why Legia fans are furious but their chairman seems to have given them the impression that we were involved in the decision. As Vert said, he probably did it to save face himself. I hope for his sake we don't play Legia again for a very long time because it has caused very bad feeling between both sets of fans and someone would likely end up getting badly hurt IMO. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

Their entire board have come out of this looking very unprofessional.
