What would you rather? Europa league and maybe 2/3 million pound max?

Or champions league, £15 million and keep the rangers behind us for even longer?

Answer this correctly and you'll understand it doesn't really matter how we played (in our 5th or 6th competitive match) it's the result.

What's it matter about the money it's no like it's getting put back into the team:56:

What would you rather a good run in the Europa (quarters/semis) or CL group stage?

Personally a would still take CL but thought a would ask anyway:smiley-laughing002:

Did anyone manage to catch a replay of that challenge on Kayal when he was claiming for a pen in the 2nd half? Can't remember SKY showing it.

Nott saying you're a hun but I seriously doubt you're a celtic fan.

Or more than 12 years old. Definitely one or the other.

Praise the lord for the ignore button. Worth a donation next year alone :50:

    Ronny's comments after the game

"I'm very pleased. We were well prepared & the players were fantastic. We looked like a team, we worked hard together & created chances. 1-1 is a good result but we could of won the game. Stefan was very good, he worked hard, was good on the ball & was a leader, he should of scored but I'm pleased with him. We were organised & disciplined, something I knew we had to be. McGregor is unbelievably good, not only in offence but defence as well. He works hard for the team & uses the ball well. We can be very proud to say he came from the academy. Next week we will attack in the right way, Celtic Park is a big advantage. We're going to use that all we can to get through. I have good feelings"- Ronny Deila.

Fantastic result away from home. Considering out poor away record, this was brilliant. Ronny is still getting his ideas in place and it now seems to be getting there.

I also love his manner in interviews he's
    Great.

I thought we started off excellently, had the lion share of possesion and not just in our own half, we oooked very dangerous in there half/box and especially from dead balls/crosses..
Lets be honest they were no great shakes and we could of took them tonight but understandably were slightly over cautious as to our previous qualifiers..

All in all away goal, job done, we are well in place to qualify and should do at celtic park..

Enough on evidence to suggest we could spank these at our own pace infront of our own crowd..

Thanks to the ramsgate emerald for there hospitality for me and the missus tonight, typical old guard ex pat moany celtic supporters talking nonsense throughout but it did the trick..

We should be 3 up. Good result but could've been better. I reckon we'll take them for two or three at Celtic Park.

They never showed it bud, don't understand why tbh. It really did look like a definite penalty.

Would love to see some replays of it myself

While you make sense, now come some factors that you are conveniently forgetting.

First, most Celtic chances, specially the goal, came from balls pumped in the area. Was the most threatening aspect of the team. We relinquished our best weapon.
Second, there's always something inbetween doing the pathetic and unsportive "run to the corner flag and sit on the ball" and going gung ho with everybody apart from the keeper. There are ways of kicking a corner while still being cautious. Short corner and then play the ball in the ground is just one of the many possibilities.
Third, this amazing 1-1 is not the excellent result you are trying to portray. One lucky goal in the beginning (and, giving how prone to errors the defenders were, this is a great possibility, even though they are an horrible team) and all game plan was undone. A 2-1 would now be a fantastic result and an insurance against Ambrose in the second leg.
Fourth, I have to say again: their team is horrible (by the way, Maribor are "well known" for playing this or that way by who? Are you slovenian yourself or are you part of Celtic's scouting network?). Nothing really threatening or that we have to worry about (apart from the scenario described above). An away draw in qualifyings is always a good result, yes, but everything in this match, the substitutions, the tactics, culminating on this corner that while was far from a unreasonable decision was the last drop. I wouldn't say it's an improvement over Legia, has to be said, Legia were a far better team. Maribor was probably the weakest team in the pot. The result itself it's not bad, but the signals are indeed worrying.

Good signals were Kayal's and McGregor's displays. Johanssen might have missed a few sitters and saved a goal but his passing was good. Izaguirre had a bad day, VVD a bad first half, and the new guy from Man City had indeed a bad match but it's hard to judge him with just one game. But I felt the team lacked ambition, and wasn't just because of the corner.

I know it's cliche but if we loose to them at home then we don't deserve to be in the group stages (unless they make an administrative error, which in that case get the cheating * out to *.)

Good performance that could have got us a better result, although one all gives us one * of a chance of going through . Good tactical set up with Kayal playing very well and he and Johannson helped big Charlie to have a good game . I thought those that were critical of Izzy and Stokes were just wanting to be critical .
I don't know how good or bad Maribor were, as I haven't watched them often, but I think we made them look exceedingly average tonight .
