Only saw the second half..very happy with a score draw away but we did have some good breaks. Shame we dont have any strikers...weak players for me where stokes,mulgrew and izzy,keep them away from euro football for the popes sake..for gods sake.
We should easily do them at home,group stages here we come

 

Stokes was offside and asking for the ball when Johansen burst through, probably put him off.

Kayal was absolutely brilliant. Really good decision to have him in from the start.

 

hit the nail on the head. as soon as we get into the final third the ideas just drain out of us , its * torture . Need a centre forward who can take the ball into feet and make it stick . Their number 9 was a class act , prime example of what we lack .

Anyway good result , very impressed by young mcgregor again and kayal looked back to his best . A good striker away from having the basis of a good side . Should take care of this tie no bother back home , 2 or 3 nil .

Would be nice to have a proper finisher on the team(Not Pukki:smiley-laughing002 before the next leg... Will hopefully sign a decent one if we reach the CL though.

 

Kayal was MOTM for me, had a great game. Don't think Maribor were anywhere near as good in the attacking positions as Legia were.

 

Ill take that after that second half definitely think well do them at parkhead now. We should have taken one of them chances.

Izzy is getting pelted for tonights performance and I have no idea why It wasn't his best of games but it certainly wasn't a bad one. I don't remember one dangerous attack or cross coming from his side of the pitch.

Is everyone jumping on the Charlie Nicholas bandwagon?

Berget had a lot of energy. Stokes did not impress, Thumb gave one good pass and pressured well _once_ - most of the time he couldn't be bothered. I was expecting to have a Pukki Party, but then again, I'm highly biased. But I do honestly think that he has a much better work rate defensively than Thumb, so in that sense would have made sense.

The worrying thing was defense, especially midfield pressure on the opponent. It was incoherent, a player or max two at a time - the bhoys didn't move as a team. Hopefully, Deila will manage to address that sooner rather than later.

DISCLAIMER: I missed the first half, so my comments are based solely on the second half performance.

 

To be honest I thought he had one of those schizophrenic performances he sometimes has: at times awful; at times magnificent.
