    Seen that Maribor were beaten 3-1 in a league game yesterday. Possibly resting their players for us.

    I'd go with:

    Gordon
    Ambrose Lustig VVD Mulgrew
    Biton
    Kayal Johansen
    Berget Boeriggter
    Pukki

    Slightly defensive but I think we need to work off a solid base, get a draw or poss even take a narrow defeat and get them back to Celtic Park. No way should we be as open as the Legia tie. Would keep Denayer out this one as its too risky a game to be going with a young guy who's just in the door. Mulgrew and Ambrose give us some height in the full back positions as that is an area we always seem to be out jumped in plus Izzy for me is being exploited too much atm. The midfield 3 kind of pick themselves due to our lack of options and Berget and Boeriggter give us pace and mobility on the flanks but also will not neglect their defensive duties which although I rate him i think McGregor does. Pukki up front as he is prob the only option for holding the ball up. Would consider swapping McGregor for Berget with Berget replacing Pukki up top.

    Honestly don't think we can afford to have Commons or anyone in that type of position away in Europe. We need 3 in the middle, setting up in a solid 4-5-1, so I'd replace Commons with Biton and keep it as tight as possible. That would leave Stokes more isolated up front so we need a guy that can hold it up, so would go for Pukki or Berget up top. Bring Boeriggter in on the wing for counter attacks. Plus I would alter the back four. *, just see my earlier post for my thoughts :icon_mrgreen:

    That's the big call here, I think, bud. Commons playing behind the striker or a midfield three. Attack's the best form of defence. :celt_2:

    With ambrose suspended and mathews out we don't have much choice over the back four.
    Then we need to pack the midfield
    Mulgrew
    Johansen Kayal
    Then the big decisions are in the forward area
    With Forrest out McGregor looks set to start.
    Commons still seems vital and our best goal threat, so should start, but from the left.
    Then the hard choice is Berget or stokes leading the line.
