Okay so this is what I can't understand. We just got raped by a Polish team..fking * they scored 6 goals against us and people are worried about our goal scoring. I'd say that our defence is more * up...and midfield. We have plenty of options up front plus the chances we create from freekicks etc. So I'm really not worried about scoring. I'm worried about our ball controll, defensive tactics and these kind of things. I know Pukki and Thumb can create chances and VD is a beast against this Slovenian team, but I really cant trust players like Matthews, Biton and Ambrose.

And guess what happens when we lose our big leader Forster...Defence have to step up even more!

Our big leader Forster? That's one thing he certainly wasn't.

    I'd go with....

    Gordon - Zaluska

Matthews - Lustig - VanDijk -Ambrose - Mulgrew - Izaguirre

    Biton - Kayal

    Balde

    2-6-2-1

We win 1-0 Balde scores from a set piece. Gordon and Zaluska make a number of great saves. :icon_mrgreen:

It's our midfield that's lacking. I don't think our defence would have been shown up as badly if it had had some protection. We're missing Broony in the center and our fullbacks are afforded absolutely no protection from the two nominal wingers in this 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1. Our creativity going forward is pretty woeful at the minute too.

I think we should revert to tried and trusted until Deila has his own players in and settled.

Think they are quite a good team. You always see their name floating about during CL qualifiers and Europa League campaigns.

Yup defo not an unknown name especially at this stage of the season they have always been a team we could draw but usually never do. Thought they wore green and red though bt realised I mixed them up with Portugese team Maritimo.

I think Zaluska will be in goal ahead of Gordon.

I feel more confident about beating this mob than I did with Legia for some reason.

    1-1 in Maribor
    2-0 at CP
