    Can't wait for this! I actually think we should loan or give a year contract to an ageing star, I.e. Defoe or someone, they'd rip the pish into Maribor and get us through. Our strikers will learn off quality during the year and improve us no end.

    I agree, it is a dead loss. Better to go with the much vaunted diamond formation that we are so accustomed too, as you listening Ronny ?

    If we don't beat Maribor we don't deserve to be anywhere near the Champions League proper.

    Play a holding midfielder and play fast players to counter. At home we can gamble more by possibly dropping a holding midfielder and playing something like

    Whatever we do DO NOT play slow players up front and no holding midfielder, or we'll just get robbed of the ball and countered for fun again.

    I'm with Honda. Temporary solution in an ageing (but not past it), prolific goalscorer who'll give us a very good chance of going through to the competition proper.
