What the * are we supposed to do? We can't refuse because then we'd get punished for it, and even if it WAS a choice, we'd be stupid not to go through just because another team made the mistake. They make the mistake but we turn round and say "Ach, it's OK you go on. You fielded a suspended player but it's fine"?

The board can get a lot of blame for a lot of things, but for being put through to the next round because of another team's ineptitude is not one of them. Our reputation is destroyed because ANOTHER team fielded a suspended player? Aye OK

Sorry but I don't think it's an injustice at all. They were negligent with their own player and they were punished. They should have been fully aware that the player was not able to play in the tie because he was not registered for the St. Pat's games.

Can try to apply common sense but, like I say, it would set a precident because then any team could try and get away with saying it's just "a mistake". It's not an inflexible rule really either. Make sure the player is registered to serve his ban - it's really that simple.
