give me a sec, trying to find links.

Those were interviews given by Stale Solbakken and Vidar Davidsen.

    http://www.nrk.no/sport/fotball/legia-kastes-ut-av-mesterligaen-1.11869601

You might need a translator though :D

Also Solbakken interview was for TV2, and he together with the experts in studio said that its a disgrace that after being destroyed on the field Celtic still gets to advance, and that he and his team would never accept such decision

I'm starting to get tired of it too, now. This guy is saying we look bad in the international press? I'll have a read of the Spanish press (the only other language I understand), but my strong suspicion is that it's precisely these unsubstantiated rumours about us having the option to let Legia through and refusing or (worse) refusing to sign a waiver that is making us look bad.

There ought to be a blanket ban against posting any more of these rumours on the site without evidence to back it up or at least one reputable source.

As I've said already, not disqualifying Legia would set a dangerous precedent and it's something UEFA wouldn't dare consider. Legia pumped us both legs, but it's ultimately irrelevant because they put a suspended player in the match squad. Whether it be for 90 minutes or 90 seconds; be it accidental or not, they still broke the rules because just having them in there at all is breaking the rules (something those trying to have a kick at Celtic seem all-too-eager to ignore. "It was only 3 minutes" is not a valid excuse; and Debrecen, although similar on the face of it, is a different charge completely).

I feel for you lot, I really do because on the basis of performance you deserve to go through (I was actually embarassed when I heard this) and I wouldn't have complained had UEFA ruled in Legia's favour; but I also don't blame UEFA, they're doing their job and their decision was necessary to preserve the integrity of the game (if Legia get off with a fine, it becomes a precedent and clubs will just take advantage of it).

What annoys me is that many fans are blaming Celtic and referring to us as a disgrace, calling us unsporting and questioning our integrity when we really had nothing to do with the situation Legia find themselves in. Celtic did not file a complaint, and nor did they have anything to do with UEFA's decision.

If it happens, both clubs should agree to no away fans.

there is no such thing as this waiver! uefas rulings are final it wouldnt make the slightest difference if we signed a bit of * paper that said "yeah these * are breaking the rules but we are cool with it"
on top of that if they are saying they wanted us to sign a waiver for it they obviously knew they were breaking the * rules

sorry for getting * off whilst quoting your comment im not getting * at you just these knobjockeys

See, this is what I mean. It is a disgrace; but the disgrace is UEFA's not ours. You still haven't provided any evidence that we had anything at all to do with this!

maybe if Legia had scored one of their two penalties they would not give a * about Celtic being awarded a 3-0 win

why not pull up the player who missed from twelve yards TWICE. He is they guy that really cost you the place in the next round

    * em. Honestly. I felt sorry for them to begin with and even a little embarrassed by what happened, but their fans coming on here giving Celtic * for THEIR mistakes is absolute bollocks. Just * em.

    there you go mate:
    https://www.google.ca/#q=google+translate

Read an article. i am not the one assigning blame (i think it's Legia's for having stupid people submit forms and UEFA's for having badly worder laws)

And Solbakken saying that his club would never stoop so low to accept such decision is prety much self-explanatory

yeah, thats *. Celtic would be awarded a place in next round anyway. There is a rule that says the score gets adjusted to 0:3 and UEFA can affect the ranking in the competition (in this case putting Celtic's as winner of the leg), and that's what would happen

It's like discovering that an athlete was disqualified for using a banned substance like cough syrup. Rules are rules and the second placed athlete has no option but to accept first place, whether he likes it or not.
It just so happens that £20M and a place in the Champions League group stages are a bonus in this instance:smiley-laughing002:
