I didn't word my previous post quite so well! I got 4/1 on Wednesday morning for Celtic to qualify for the next round, and after emailing them about it, they've paid out.

your club cant read and implement the rules of uefa its not Celtics fault or uefa's its Legia's no one connected with celtic complained. a uefa delegate realized the breach in the rules and uefa have now implemented them

 

Only one to blame is Berg & the Legia management team. Feel slightly sorry for the fans, but the reality we aren't to blame for any of this.

Celtic don't make the rules. Seriously, let it be already. I understand that you're * off, but there is no chance in * that Celtic will withdraw. ...we are a business as well, which is why Celtic is the most succesful Scottish football team. If we were not run as a business, we could start making errors like fielding suspended players.

1) I don't think anyone is honestly saying we were the better side over the two legs. In fact, most people on here agree we deserved a drubbing on the basis of our performance and general effort and admit Legia had our number in just about every area of the pitch. A number of people have commented that the outcome is harsh, "a shame" or whatever other adjective and many believe Legia's crime was purely a non-deliberate accident or paperwork error but also admit that the rules are there to be adhered to and that allowing Legia to progress would set a dangerous precedent.
2) He was named in the 18-man matchday squad when he shouldn't have been; what impact he had on the game is irrelevant.
3) No-one cares.
4) No-one cares.
5) It's not Celtic who chased this up, this is well documented. UEFA decided Legia broke the rules and the appropriate punishment (a single one-match forfeit) was handed out. If Celtic withdraw from the competition, there's no guarantee that Legia would take their place. In fact, there's every chance that Maribor would get a 6-0 aggregate victory (3-0 wins home and away) in the next round given than the ties are now arranged.

 

I wish people would stop giving us a hard time about this, it was the company that chose to stay in the competition not the club
