    In that instance, the player wasn't suspended. He was ineligible for some reason, but not suspended. The last time a player was suspended and this happened was Arsenal Kyiv, and they had to forfeit the game.

    Because the rules say fielding a suspended player will result in forfeit; whereas fielding an ineligible player may result in a forfeit. The one a few years ago was an ineligible player.

    100% Correct Bud. Uefa have set the precedent before by punishing other teams in the same manner. Its not personal just the rules that they HAD to enforce.
    Hope we can redeen ourselves and hit the group stages.
