The karma I see in this is a coach getting screwed for making a substitution with 4 minutes left. There's no earthly (at least sporting) reason to ever do it, in any game. Does my head in.

Remember Rapid Vienna and the fake injury ... broke my heart ... we have been at wrong end of many uefa decisions ... we broke no rules .. just victim to a fake head injury (bottle missed by miles but bottle should not have been thrown)

The poles broke the rules ... feel sorry for their fans but ...

 

The bottom line is, the rule is in place for a reason. Playing a suspended player, whether it be for 90mins, or 90 seconds, still results in the team having to forfeit the match. I know, and every single Celtic fan knows that we were soundly beaten, but if Uefa allowed Legia to go through, then they have effectively ignored the rules that they themsleves have put in place.

This isn't a first, it has happened in the past to Arsenal Kyiv, and they received the same punishment. So if Legia weren't punished in the same manner, what is to stop Kyiv taking the matter further also. It would have opened a can of worms.

I'm still absolutely furious about the result, and the path the board appear to be taking us down, but this decision is justified in my opinion. If Legia aren't capable of doing the relevant checks, then they only have themsleves to blame. This sort of mistake is something you would see at amatuer level.

We have been given a reprieve, we now need to grab this opportunity with both hands.

 

We went through on the away goal rule as the tie was 3 nil win to celtic lol.

ill take it obviously but you have to wonder what goes on in the admin side of things where that player was ever allowed on the team at that level of football.

I think all of us can agree that our team in no way deserve to be in the next round.

Legia played really well over two legs, their fans were great, supported their team and are now left HIGH & DRY on the MORAL HIGH GROUND.

Is this the way we wanted to qualify ? NO, definitely not.

Should we be happy with our team's performance ? NO, definitely not.

Will we lose sleep over it ? NO, definitely not.

Never going to happen,especially when it'll probably sell out at £20 a pop,that's an extra 1mil in coffers.

It would be good business sense to offer a free ticket to new season ticket holders though,put a 2k more bums on seats at least.
