If you read the thread Debrecen fielded an 'ineligible' player and not a 'suspended' one. UEFA's wording of their own rules would suggest that they're out, as ridiculous as that would be.

 

No, the claim is that he wasn't registered for the St. Pat's game, so never served his suspension thus when he came on against Celtic, he was suspended and it was illegal. The question is whether Legia registered him for the earlier game or not. If not, they will forfeit the game against us.

 

what more is there to know about 11 o'clock? its a pretty open and shut case, before 12 and after 10 mate

 

I think people are getting mixed up with this. Debrecen didn't field a suspended player as far as I'm aware, the player was ineligible, for one reason or another, but not suspended, as in this case.

Dunno, mate. When I was young we used to have 11 o'clock at about 10 past and it's been getting a little bit earlier every year. Something to do with there being 24 hours and 0.00000000004 seconds in a day. We really ought to have a leap second every 4 hours.

 

If UEFA already make a decision before the draw, it will be most likely not in our favour. Deciding to disqualify a club that won on a 6-1 aggregate would take much more time for deliberation than just fining them and confirming the result.

I will not lose any sleep over it although a positive decision would get us into the EL group stages (cannot see us win the CL (or even EL) play-off games).

 

Hmm not sure about that I guess we'll find out soon enough.. Seems less clear cut.. It will depend on how the rules are interpreted..

 

Regardless of what happens, The complete * carnage on here for the last 12 hours has been amazing

 

The decision has to be made before the draw though I think. We would be seeded, where as Legia are not, so the whole draw would be a * up if they are kicked out at a later date.
