3am. Why did I check TC before I went to bed!?

Didn't realize this was being decided now. Now I'm wired.

I honestly don't see how they can't forfeit the game if this player was ineligible. Rules are put in place for a reason, allow them to be broken, and they might as well rip them up and start again.

This won't happen Uefa have previously fined clubs in this instance..

Legia have made an honest mistake that didn't affect the tie..

Fine for Legia forget about CL this season for us.. :shamrock:

He only played the last 3 minutes !!! Hope it doesn't go against us.

Deep down I don't think we deserve anything……… but I'll keep them thoughts deep as the ocean.

It would be a bit ridiculous if we were to go through after losing 6-1 on agg. :smiley-laughing002:

Arsenal Kyiv were forced to forfeit a game they won 3-0 for the exact same reason. The player was suspended, they brought him on, obviously an honest mistake, and the result was overturned and the opposition were awarded a 3-0 victory. A precedent has been set.

That was in a Europa League Qualifier

I think you mean a magnificent 4-3 victory! Won in the cauldron of Murayfield!

    Serious note, agree 100%.

Deterrent? The guy sat out the three games he was supposed to. All that happened is that one of their employees forgot to put a name on a form.

I guess you think UEFA have to send a strong signal here, to act as a deterrent. Otherwise next thing we know, everyone will be forgetting to put names on forms. :87:

Think the difference is they didn't try to seek an advantage, they believed he had served his suspension and it was an an admin error around the players registration.. Much different from the Sion situation for example.. I'm sure UEFA ruled on a similar case to Legia and issued a fine.. :shamrock:

You're wrong. Read the rules and you'll see why.

Arsenal Kyiv done the exact same mate. They won the game 3-0, they weren't trying to gain an advantage. They still had to forfeit the game however.

I've been saying that all night. Totally different situations. Not sure we can expect common sense from UEFA, though.
