Mate, it's making me feel sad. I thought we were bigger than this. I'm a Celtic fan so this is part of my identity so it really hurts to see one or two on this thread gloating like they are.

Of course it's not our fault and of course if UEFA put us through we'll gladly take it, any club would including Legia.

But let's not kid ourselves, this would be terribly unjust and we really ought not to be gloating about this as a few (I know only a minority, thank *) on this thread are doing. The better team over the two games is (probably) going out, not because of cheating but because one of their employees forgot to put a name on a form.

To any Legia fans reading this: we know you were the better team and I still honestly believe most of us know it isn't fair; but at the end of the day it was a mistake by one of your employees and it is UEFA's (* UEFA!) decision, this is really not something you ought to be blaming us for. We didn't flag this up and no business is going to turn down £12 million (or whatever it is), not us, not Barcelona, not Legia.

Hope common sense prevails tomorrow and you get a fine. If not, I hope you will understand our happiness at this (if it happens) astonishing reprieve.

 

How can they put the decision in Lawwells hands ? Surely if Legia go through and beat the team they're drawn with in the play offs then Uefa have another problem ?

 

He might just do it to spite us for the abuse he took on weds this isn't a done deal after all
