You know what? * UEFA's rules. I say each team chooses one tribute from their staff and they then fight to the death. Winner takes the round. I vote for John Collins to fight for us.

 

Sorry, but I can't get exited about this. It just means we'll go straight into the Europa League Groups without beating a decent team. Papers over the many cracks at the club.

 

It's the rules? He has to be registered as part of the squad to serve a ban. That's what I've gathered tonight at least.

 

We'll have to settle with UEFA kicking out these cheaters as they've ruined what could've been a glorious comeback.

 

I agree that common sense should prevail but rules are rules. UEFA have thrown teams out for the very same in the past. Precedent has been set.

 

What's the point in any bureaucracy? But nah, someone somewhere forgot to put a name on a form, so they have to be punished. Rules are rules. Apparently.

Exactly. Crashing out now would send a resounding message that things need to be changed.

 

I don't think the cracks have been covered up at all mate, everyone's aware of how much of a shambles we are just now. It's just another opportunity to qualify for Champions League which could mean keeping our better players and signing some new ones.

I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, but unless it's found that the guy legitimately served his suspension then there's only one possible outcome. It's clearly stated that if a team names a suspended player in the match squad then the only possible punishment is forfeiting the game 3-0, which would put us through.

Imagine being that * that missed 2 penalties in the first leg though, must be absolutely sick thinking if he'd of just put one of them penalties in then all if this would now be irrelevant.
