Basically he wasn't registered to play against St Pat's so wasn't picked. He wasn't banned for those 2 matches.
If he was registered before the first St Pat's tie then the ban would have started then.
He also wasn't registered for the first Celtic tie so wasn't picked.
It means that when he wasnt registered for the 2nd tie he should not have been picked as he still technically had 3 games suspension still due.
To have been eligible for the 2nd tie he should have been registered before the first St Pat's tie then he could have served his suspension.
So they had from last season until 1st round of competition to register him.

According to Sevco, UEFA will be deliberatly tampering with our opponents squads and team sheets to ensure they can disqualify our opponents if we happen to be knocked out as the Pope, IRA, Lawwell, UEFA, FIFA, the Queen and everyone want Celtic in European competition.
