    No he never though if UEFA are right. As he was not registered as a Legia player for the St Patricks games(so it seems) thus how were UEFA to know he was actually at Legia? for all UEFA knew he could have been playing in Brazil by now.

    You have to register you're players for UEFA competitions just like you do for the SPL or any competition if you * up you * it up.

    I doubt it. They probably just decided to award this as a tiebreaker rather than replaying the match. Because the other team lost quite heavily over two legs they probably just accepted it as fair.

    However the away goal gives us a definite leg up if they do forfeit.

    He did serve the 3 match ban, that's what you don't seem to get. Because of a bureaucratic error, they forgot to register him for one of the games he had to sit out, meaning that unbeknownst to Berg it didn't count towards his suspension. Berg then played him in good faith for all of four minutes.

    There's absolutely no cheating here and all your hypothetical examples involve cheating.
