I would quite genuinely feel embarrassed if we went through on this. I was a bit embarrassed about the Sion thing, but at least there we had a case, tnos woukd be ridiculous.

I'm as hurt as anybody that we're out but Celtic is about more than just the football and certainly not about using technicalities to steal the place of a team that we all know beat us faor and square.

@ILTC, it's the lack of intent that's important here morally. Sion knew what they were doing.

@STVGRANT: Debrecen boy wasn't on squad list so not auto forfeit. Playing a banned player, according to rules, is automatic forfeit.

 

Besides, if we do get through we'll have to face a seeded team in the playoffs and get our * handed to us, so unless we're willing to improve the side thanks but no thanks

The difference is intent. This was a bureaucratic accident, not calculated deception. I mean the guy actually did sit out the 3 games he was supposed to.

 

yea but you wouldn't see him in there team because he was suspended. Much like ambrose wasn't in our team last night. The issue has to do with whether he was registered with uefa, not whether he was on there bench.

Did that player serve a 3 match ban? no, he served 1 match then played the next
