    Last chance saloon.

He will need to show if he's got it in him this season. Hopefully we will see the best of him given it's his longest stretch uninjured.

If not this season, then never.

I think he has shown in the past that he's got it in him. We've just got a very good, competitive midfield. And Ronny has his favourites. He played a lot more games under Neil. I think it may already be time for him to go, for the advancement of his own career, if nothing else. He should be looking into going to the Championship down south.

Lennon mismanaged him something awful, throwing him straight into big games when he was 70% fit - no wonder he kept on picking up niggling injuries when never gave the chance to fully recover.

Forrest's a great player and I have no doubts he'll show it this season, him and GMS on the wings will be an absolute joy to watch.

Why make a new thread? Anyway you can tell Ronny believes in Forrest, they obviously put a lot of effort into getting him fit and keeping him injury free for a good portion of last season. He does need to step it up another level, GMS has that motivation in playing for the jersey and proving himself where as Forrst can be a wee lazy * and go hiding for the match. Most of all his insistence of cutting inside and never using his pace down the wing, infuriates me.

Never really improved tbh. No end product and injury prone.

Would prefer to sell him now and get a decent right winger in

Reading this morning Ronny saying his "core" was all wrong and we have sorted that now and Ronny isn't afraid when Forrest is on the pitch, he was operating At 40% before now he's about 70% so we are trying to get him to 100%! We have changed his training etc too! Ronny expects him to be a significant player this season!

Hope it all works out for Forrest am one of his biggest critics on here but if he can string maybe 10-15 games out of 20 together then he will be massive for us!

As for boerrigter he is injured AGAIN!

    Twisted ankle

Love the fact Ronny seems so switched on to what each player requires physically.

He really is a breath of fresh air.

Wee James certainly looks stronger and more physical, lets hope he gets a decent run of games. Could be a big season for him.

No his biggest fan but Deila clearly rates him.

If he can't put a significant run of games together this season, showing what he is made of, then it's time to go I'm afraid. We couldn't afford to take another season hoping for him to become this player we all thought he was going to be at one point.

I don't think modern football helps Forrest. From a tactical point of view I mean.

Inverted wingers, false 9s etc are very popular and they just dont suit him. An old fashioned 4-4-2 with a big striker upfront would be best for him, as his strength is hitting the byeline.

However he is nowhere near good enough to build our system around.

We all expected so much of Forrest mostly because McGeady had just left as Forrest was coming onto the scene so we were all hopeful of a like-for-like swap.

He's still capable of becoming a top player though. I just hope it works out for him so that it works out for us.

james was always all legs and a wee boys core, getting knocks from players and running all the time, he was an accident waiting to happen.

In my eyes there's definitely a cracking player in there but this is a massive season this one for him he's just about in the last chance saloon at Celtic Park. How long does he have left on his contract?

    He signed a five-year deal in 2011, I think.
