Pepe played defensive mid in the season Barca pumped them out the Champions League, and also skelped their * in La Liga maybe that's why he isn't in there, the mad * is loopy enough at CB never mind having him running around the middle of the park

I could sit and watch Messi on a loop for the rest of my life.

Ronaldo, no. Fantastic player but not as consistently brilliant, IMO. He doesn't seem the same anymore..

The Messi - Suarez - Neymar front trio is just frightening now. It used to be all about Messi but in the last few weeks Neymar & Suarez are being talked about just as much!

Bale was poor last night but i hate how everything just comes down to his performance. Real lose or draw and Bale is in the headlines.

ronaldo has tried so hard to be the no1 player in the world, its now at the stage were he puts his personal gain before the good of the team, and that is not healthy.

I heard on the radio that the Madrid paper haven't even gave him ratings for the past couple of games.

Ronaldo comes across as desperate now. There isn't a freeness (not a word but so what) to his game, like before - he's always itching to get a goal. It's as if he thinks scoring is the only way he can be seen as better than everyone else and ableto win the Balon D'or - which given the fact he has won it 2 years in a row because of this, it is probably well founded.

As for Bale, he has talent, just not as much as the people believe. For £85 million you expect more, no wonder the Madrid fans are raging Barca got Neymar and they were left with Bale. Sometimes he comes across as someone who blags it at the top. A fantastic player, just not someone who is the creme de la creme, like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Robben etc. He runs like a headless chicken and his touch can be suspect.

Not surprisingly all the wee EPL fanboys on Facebook, who don't watch La Liga mates, all think the sun shines out his *, as do the media.

Aye, he'll end up back in England in the summer I think, seems media and fans have turned on him.

Quite dervedly too I think, imagine paying £80million? for him when theres really loads of players better than him who they could have got for cheaper Neymar, Suarez, Sanchez, Hazard, Robben, Ribery, Griezmann, Muller, Gotze, Pogba.... for that kind of money they could have got anyone in the game really or even two/three quality players but they got Bale - a big numpty that runs in straight lines, touch isnt the best and really adds little to nothing to a team other than goals which he doesnt score that much 20-25 a season.

He was a disgrace I thought last night, Ronaldo mostly plays the same as Bale, hiding not getting on the ball much but popping up to score but the last couple of games Ronaldo's tried to get on the ball more and put in more effort. Last night if Bale never went onto the park it wouldnt have made any differance he never done anything at all.

Oh right, I don't remember that, just that one game I mentioned. I guess Ramos has to play there but you'd have to tell him he isn't Pirlo.

They were saying on Revista De La Liga that they don't want to play Khedira because he is leaving, but you'd think they would just play him anyway, pretty dumb I reckon.

They didn't play Illaramendi either who plays in that position.

It honestly baffles me that you decide to play a centre-back in midfield rather than one of two out-and-out midfielders for a vital Champions League game.

Aye Ramos is a car crash when played defensive midfield. His distribution last night was shocking, and if he picks up a yellow, like he did on Saturday against Sevilla, he is a red card waiting to happen, unless he totally changes his approach, which takes a lot away from his game.

Illaramendi is as average as they come but yea, even him or the Brazilian CM would have been a better option.

I just seen on twitter that a Juve player got his foot to the ball just after Rodriguez headed it, and that forced it upwards onto the bar. Pretty decent defending.

Can see a 2-0 win for Barca tonight.

I agree with you on Khedira even if he does want away, if you want to win things in the game sometimes you need to swallow a bit of pride but by playing Ramos there it won't happen, not only that Ramos is for me their best defender and was hugely missed at the back v Juve

Bale did more in the cup finals for Madrid last season than Ronaldo did. He and Neymar had fairly similar first seasons at their new clubs last year, they contributed the bare minimum you expect of a Barca/Madrid forward, the difference being Bale got two huge goals in cup finals and Neymar never threatened in the big games. This year Neymar improved his attitude, dived less, figured out a way to work with Messi and has had his best season yet.

Bale on the other hand has become absolutely shot of confidence and it doesn't seem like any of his teammates are willing to help him out on that front. If a certain someone acknowledged all the goals he set up for him the public perception might change. He just seems to be out there on his own.
