    UEFA has announced a charge against Barcelona for an "illegal banner" against Manchester City . The message being questioned, according to Mundo Deportivo, was a criticism of the alleged pressure of Finance on the Catalan club and said "Prou atacs a l'esport català" ("Stop attacks to Catalan sports") The club have a responsibility for European football towards Article 16 (2, e). UEFA disciplinary code, which states that "associations and clubs are responsible for inappropriate behavior by their fans and may be subject to disciplinary measures and directives, although they can prove that there was negligence in the organization of the party". This refers to the "use of words or objects to transmit any message that does not fit with the sport, specifically political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative."

    The penalty will be discussed by the Agency for Control, Ethics and Disciplinary UEFA on 21 May. Racist messages or incitements to violence have been punished with partial closures of bounds, forcing display messages against xenophobia. This was passed to Bayern Munich after a homophobic banner and Real Madrid for ultra symbol; in both cases UEFA spoke article 16.2.e. (Bayer Leverkusen as his banner on the front Atlético) and also had to face a monetary fine of 10,000 euros. This time, however, it could be a mitigating no racist message, but political, and entail only a fine.

    Oooohh!!!!! Another frivolous case.

    On the draw itself. I think Barcelona,Atletico,Juve and Bayern will make up the semi finalists.

    Barca/Bayern and Atletico/Juventus semi final would be great. In theory, one would be wide open and end-to-end and the other would be cagey.

    Plus, I always like seeing opposing styles in the final.

    A real chance for Juve here after drawing Monaco, should come through that quite easily.

    Fancy them to make the final vs either Barcelona or Bayern.

    Finally. Some of us (Benfica fans) were worried that Porto would reach a CL semi-final after playing BATE, Bilbao, Shakhtar, Basel and Monaco. Something like 03/04.
