Why are you wanting Commons out of the team?

It would have been hysterical, after his first two games you would have everybody who gives it comments like they are in this thread just now saying, I told you this guy was great, always had faith :56:

It's * hysterical. Just wait and see, people were moaning like * about Wanyama when he signed as well.

What a load of * nonsense.

First things first, Tony Watt a great player? Catch a * grip. The guy is living off of that goal a year and a half ago. His attitude seems to be stinking, therefore he deserves nothing at this club. He's done nothing to suggest he is a "great" player.

Then you went on to call Berget a diddy most of us haven't heard of. Okay so if you haven't heard of Berget, how do you know he is a "diddy"? Guess what, I hadn't heard of Victor Wanyama. And guess what? He went on to become a club record sale.

How is he a hypocrite? He's said since day one that he wants to strengthen the squad with new signings, as well as give young players a chance. So far, he's done half of that. We now need to see if Berget will strengthen the squad.

    Grow up.

I want us to be constantly improving. It looks like Berget plays in the same position as Commons. Therefore I want Berget to play well enough to force his way into the team. If that pushes Commons out, then so be it.

If he proves to be a better footballer than Commons then he might. Commons does contribute to a * of a lot of goals, but his general play is * poor most of the time. If we can sign a striker who can score a fair amount, I'd be happy enough to drop Commons - provided Berget turns out to be good.

Welcome to Celtic, hope he does well, but if he does * then to the the people who are saying there is no down side, it's wages and maybe the sale of Watt, hope he can play well from the get go Ronny said he was not into loaning players and wanted quality to come straight into the side, only time will tell if this guy will come straight into the side.

I wince every time I see that name, really hate it; but he has no right to say people who use it aren't Celtic fans.

I disagree with Commons play being * poor, is play is generally good and he's started this season in the same vein, some of the passes we've saw from him so far have been excellent.

I think this myths came about because he tends to score even if he's playing *, doesn't mean it happens all the time. Saying that, the worst 'all round' performance I've saw from him was his hat trick at Rugby Park last year.

If we score a striker who can score 30+ I still don't see that as a reason to drop a midfielder who can score 30+ and is always at the top of the assist charts. Doesn't make sense to me.

Lets get this guy in and let him settle, see how he plays and how he will be used before we start putting expectations on him to produce more than Kris Commons. There aren't many midfielders in our history who have produced as much as Commons has on the pitch for us.

Just a bit of information for those calling him a flop at Cardiff, he joined them in January from the Norwegian league which ends in November and doesn't start again until March, so there was no way he was match fit when joining them and even if he was He'd already played a full season worth of football just before joining them.

He got two games mid February and spent the rest of his time on the bench.

    Aye, shades of Lustig there.

Now there's hilarious threads to re-visit, when we first got Lustig :56:

23 year old Norwegian International signed twice by 2 separate Norwegian title winning managers. He clearly has something.

In fact he fits into where we really should be, guys with quality that have made 1 or 2 bad career moves bringing their market value right down.

I can't judge them, mate, at least not the young ones (anyone over 25 ought to know better): I wasn't joking about Moravcik. I was young and stupid and swallowed the media spin hook line and sinker. You live and learn.

It's not a myth. He's so slow on the ball and stands still waiting for it to reach him. Nearly every match he plays he gets caught at least a couple of times waiting on the ball to get to him. Then someone nicks in and takes it away or he gets pushed over. He's far too slow, it's infuriating.

If we sign a striker who can score 30+, there's no way Commons will score as many as he did last season. He got pushed right up top last season at times because our forwards were pish for a large chunk of the season. I don't think his passing is that great to be honest. He'd rather shoot from a ridiculous distance/angle than pass.

I know it sounds a bit stupid because he has scored loads for us but I just don't rate him that highly. Particularly in Europe, he's useless against the better teams.

Each to their own, I disagree with most of that so we'll leave it there.

Although, he still scored 20 when Hooper scored 31. Still * excellent for a midfielder.
