Just home from the game. Embarrassing.
Can't believe how bad we were, can't string a few passes together. How has everyone lost the ability to control the ball or make a simple pass? Also baffled with the formation and the positioning of some players.

3 smug Legia fans cheering and dancing a few rows infront of me too when they scored. :47:
Waste of 7 hours driving and over £100.

I guess we will not play any of the outstanding teams as we will be seeded. Hoping for another game in Sweden, but I think Celtic would struggle against AIK and Elfsborg with this squad.

I think the anger about what happened tonight is beginning to subside and the sadness and worry is starting to kick in. These two games were not good. I have been sitting here thinking to myself 'Was there anything in these two games that looked encouraging? Was there anything to suggest we might be close to being a good team??' and the honest answer to both questions is no. There is nothing to feel optimistic about on the evidence of the last 180mins.

We need some new signings URGENTLY or else the players we have really need to give themselves a shake - and fast. Our manager needs to figure out how to get the best out of the players he's got as well. He clearly has not solved that conundrum as yet.

All in all it's pretty grim.

I am hoping this will lead to Deila being given a decent amount of money to make his team. If the club don't invest now then they will lose out on money from ticket sales as no-one will go.

Part of me is hopefully but part of me is terrified that nothing will change and we will be in for a humping in Europa and a boring league campaign with awful attendances.

I wish you all of what we have in few years. It seems that the best transfer of our club in the last decade is our new chairman. Over the years we waited for someone to understand the difference between running a business and running a football club. We survived the years of conflict between us and the management, years of ill-spent money and failed transfers. Regardless of invested cash always lacked vision for the team development, the development of the coaching staff. Bad decisions, corporate bullshit, etc. Suddenly, the club hires a guy who solves problems in a month that was not to solve for years. Gets along with the fans, the media, the city authorities. Learns quickly, very quickly improves the club on many levels. What's the most surprising thing of all? He never managed a football club. He was the owner of a law firm.
It seems to me that your problems result from improper approach of the board. Refusal to sell broadcasting rights which met Polish and Norwegian television stations only reinforces that your management has a corporate approach to football. This is bad, very bad. I have not met with such a strange situation that the club refused to sell the broadcasting rights to foreign tv stations. This is insane. Just like the sale of players from a team without a vision to strengthen it.

:50: Definitely need a different approach to the way things are being done.

Good luck in the next round.

I can understand that footballers can be in low form or weak physically before the beginning of the league; it is also understandable, to some extent, that the manager can pick wrong tactics for both home and away games, but I just can't get my head around the fact how easily most Celtic players accepted defeats in both legs, and how little effort they put into such important games.

Deila will get cash and blow it on * from Scandinavia and that is nothing against Scandinavians ,it's the fact we have been down this road before and very few make it at Celtic never mind sell on value

Way to go @SkySportsNews, tweeting out that we've been eliminated by Legia Warsaw, "who are 10th in the Polish league" (true, but I think 3 games played lol). I suppose we deserve all the humiliation that comes with this.

    Good post mate.

I have no doubts that we need a shake up in the current board. They are so far out of touch with the majority of Celtic fans (that I know). Lack of investment was the main reason we were hammered, other things could have been better also, but we badly need fresh faces. The chickens have come home to roost, I just hope the board realise this now. However, sadly, I think we will get spoon fed some nonsense about not being able to spend now, since there won't be Champions League money. I fully expect this excuse to come out at some point.

Anyone else Aberdeen would beaten legia easy.
They are very average side and see them getting beat in next round.
As for us. Cant see this team winning europa league play-off.
Alot very unhappy players and bad tactics and poor manager.
Going be long boring season with parkhead half empty and aberdeen giving us major challenge for league.

I'm not sure about Mcgregor. Yes, he's decent on the ball, but he isnt quick enough to play out wide at European level. He'd be great in 4-2-3-1 behind the striker one day. That's just my opinion though.
