His tactics in the first leg were questionable but he said himself the players weren't getting the message he was trying to put across. Tonight I don't think he did a great deal wrong. The players just aren't good enough to break down a decent team set up to play on the counter attack.

Makes me feel sick what's happened to our team over the past year or so. Will follow Celtic through thick and thin but just the thought of this season with no investment in the team and the Europa League to look forward to is doing nothing for me.

It's as simple as this - shooting for the Champions League when Deila has not had time to work on his team is insane.

Perhaps it's not even fair to say we should be playing in the Europa League either ... no one would argue we don't look good enough. We'r 6-1 down on aggregate currently to a side that might not even make the Champions League proper. Says it all.


I say: less knee-*, give the manager time, and don't expect European football till we have the players he wants, and playing the way he wants. I do worry that no real signings have came in yet tho, and yes, it WILL be a long, hard, pretty boring season.

Essentially, if we don't qualify for the Europa League (which looks unlikely), we are then looking a year from now to the next CL playoffs. Simples.
