Celtic vs Legia Warsawa (UCL 3rd round qualifier, August 6th 7.45. NOT ON TV).

In my life so far , this is easily the worst Celtic team to play Europe.

 

That was * *. Followed the exact same path as the first game. On top for 25 minutes then started getting picked off.

The amount of people we are committing forward is * criminal.

So angry.

 

Sadly I think this is right. We might be 'Champions' but out players aren't cutout for the champions league. We'd be * hammered with this side against an atletico/real. Can't even score against Legia Warsaw at home on front of a loud as * crowd with it all to play for.

Brown must be raging and Lennon must be thinking 'thank * I'm not I'm that dressing room'

Think we had a chance with NL to progress and move to the next level with the correct funding, obviously the correct funding is never going to come but hey the books look good

When are we going to say enough is enough as fans? We spend £500+ on seasons tickets year in year out to watch the likes of kilmarnock and st mirren. We sell our top players for £5m+ and reinvest on dross. This year we've signed a player who hasnt kicked a ball for cardiff city, on loan.

The plc needs to go, Lawwell out.. The club is losing its identity and the fans are going with it.

 

Any manager who came in would have struggled with this squad don't blame Ronny at least he's gone out trying to entertain the fans

 

By the looks of it you're gonna have massive problems with getting into Europa League group stage...
On the other hand I cannot see Legia going into CL either.

Anyone blaming the manager for this is mistaken, though I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes in the first leg, big ones at that. I'm saying this,

Any new manager who isn't going to be playing the original formation under the previous formation needs a pre-season to gel the side, unfortunately we don't have that privilege. Now, things aren't helped with the fact he's new and has John Collins and Kennedy with him who he has never met this was always going to be an impossible task for him. Not to mention the players just are not good enough.

Deila needs money, power and respect and he can become a good manager but with Lawwel at the helms I fear the worst for him at Celtic. Its not a fluke that he done so well at the Norwegian team.

Where are the men? where are the leaders? where are the players screaming, fighting and giving it 100%?

This team is very disappointing. Lustig and McGregor are the only players doing their job. Matthews is * hopeless. Stokes has done nothing and Biton goes nowhere.

What's going to happen in the second half? If we don't turn it around and get something done then the boo's at the end of the first half will continue into the streets and outside Celtic Park aimed at the tight-fisted * on the board. Then what will happen?

 

Jesus, stop with this Lennon whining ffs. How quickly people forget when things don't go our way. What we need is to change 7 players in the first team not effing Neil Lennon.

I kinda agree mate but that is still not an excuse to be 5-1 down to a team like this,if we had a approached the first leg in a better manner we would have lost 2 or 3-1 and this tie would be totally different,instead we are being torn apart every time they counter.

 

No matter how good he was last season, Commons just isn't good enough. Neither is Stokes -at this level. The way we are trying to play, we need quick players up front who will put in a shift, the two of them can't do that. Commons' control is awful most of the time and he's prone to gifting possession to the other team.

Mulgrew is the same, far too slow and laboured.

Pathetic display, yet again. Nothing going forward and we look lost at the back.

 

Missing Brown?

Always play better or at least with more fight when he is in

 

You never know, better safe than sorry. One more goal from Legia would certainly finish it off.

Maybe only marginally better. What strikes me is that Celtic players don't really look hungry for success. Are there any internal conflicts in the team at the moment?
