If you you stop insulting the celtic fans on this erm...celtic form and hang around long enough you will learn a bit about the Scottish and Irish sense of humour.
You will learn that we don't think kicking some * in the balls out side a airport is the same as someone invading another country and killing millions.

And if we are talking about *, the stupid kind. Tell me did you really think after losing 4-1 in one of our worst games for years costing the club possibly 15 million any one would give a * about some history lesson.

Any other week before or after there would be plenty of fans on here that would want to learn more about your history and find it interesting but timing is everything.

Not thrilled by the prospect of having to win by 3, but i believe if we start strong and take our chances we will qualify.
Had we taken our chances in Warsaw the game may well have been completely different.
Mulgrew can * off for this game, Ambrose too.
Hoping we can put on a stella performance, get into this mob and thump em.

I wonder if we went onto the Legia website trying to educate them on the Irish war of Independence would they be so friendly?

What exactly do you want from us, mate? You know that you are not that good and yet you beat us 4-1. People are angry and upset about how badly we played. Then you come along to our forum and try to give us a Polish history lesson and are shocked when most people aren't interested. As stated above, timing is everything.

Secondly, people are quite rightly trying to psych themselves up for the second leg because there's still a small chance we can do it. When we are totally confident of winning, we don't feel the need to keep saying "we can do this". This is normal human psychology, not arrogance. Of course you are favourites now but, again, what do you want from us? Roll over and give up, maybe say how wonderful your team is (which it isn't)?

And this is what I'm talking about. Being a supporter of such a big club like Celtic means also to know how to lose and go on IMO. This happens even for the bigger clubs. Maybe you don't care but believe me I know what I'm saying. Our club is the biggest in Poland, existing since 1916, from which stem many great players like Szczęsny, Fabiański or Boruc and still non of polish team qualified for CL since 1996 having lots of poor teams on our way, so I surely know what dissapointment is.

We're not trying to educate you but simply want to boast about some events. As I said before, this is one of the main reasons why we were glad for drawing Celtic in qualifications - your club is one of the most famous in the world so we're just curious about your opinion, and want you to know that there is a club in Europe like Legia with great supporters and atmosphere at the stadium :)

This is just funny now. We are poor and still we beat you 4:1. Think what you've just written. We had an opportunity to play with eatch other, Legia won so this is simple, Legia is better ;)

Ok, I won't write anything from now, this is your forum and I understand this. Good luck on wednesday!

Sorry we don't get over losing as quickly as you...we don't do it that often.

Go away for two weeks and come back and try again.

Not as contradictory as living in a capitalist country and having Castro's executioner and child murderer as your avatar, but hey--each to one's own.

But anyway, this "becoming nazis" part of your post it the biggest nonsense I've read in a long time. Well done.

Got to laugh at the few trolls, wee tip for ye, there's plenty of 2nd and 3rd generation poles all over Scotland and if any of them like me is reading your posts then well I feel embarrassed for ye, we don't need told about any history, most are well aware what happened back then, anyhoo bring it on for Wednesday, should be a cracker =]

Picked Matthews at RB as Lustig looked * shattered and got done all game also opted for Mulgrew as we have no other options at CB and 2 up top cause we need goals.

Not at all optimistic considering the last game but here's hoping.

    Mon the Hoops. :50:

If you did it in acceptable Polish, they would most likely be delighted!

But even if you tried it in English, I think you would get a positive reaction. There was a poll organised a couple of years ago and Ireland came in top 5 most liked nations in Poland. In the official government-conducted research the Irish came 7th (after Czechs, Slovaks, the English, Italians, Spaniards and the Swiss)...

    Nice pyro show.

Seen a few local poles got some of these made up to mark the 70th Anniversary:

You sure :56: Don't see many responses online that would indicate that to me.

Most of the stuff is rather funny though on the likes of UT facebook, twitter 'Legia Salutes Gers.. Smash Leftside' stuff.:56:

    Quite sure.

I wouldn't pay attention to trolls on twitter or facebook. Celtic has immense following in Poland, and the Irish are one of the most liked nations in our country. Facts.

I currently live in Gdańsk (changed the profile), but you are quite right--Szczecin is full of Legia fans, and I see the fame of Pogoń-Legia friendship reaches outside the borders of Poland! :)

How come you are so familiar with Polish football?

It was officially ended last year, but as you say, old feelings die hard.

You seem to know quite a lot about Polish football, lads! I'm impressed. :)

Familiar maybe with the fan scene, not so much the football.:smiley-laughing002:

The polish fan scene friendships are quite well know right enough. Wisla- Slask etc. Fascinating to some extent, similar to the Italian 'twining' in their fan scene. Always interesting when these friendships come to an end too.
