Big call to start Berget straight away! Must have faith in him but is a risky move given his lack of time with the squad, in a game that we need to do well.

I'm very disappointed that yet again McGeouch has been left out of the squad. Has had a very good preseason, better than both Boerrigter and Biton, so it's a shame he hasn't made the bench. Offers a nice creative option if we need it.

Going to a back three with wing backs having never played the formation before, for our away European tie would be absolutely suicidal.

 

For me it's because he's literally been at Celtic for a jiffy, he'll have no experience at all with playing with any of them (maybe bar Johansen, I couldn't be arsed checking if they ever played together at Stromsgodset.)

Am I the only one excited by this bold selection from Ronny? I'm sick to death of managers having favourites and going for the same dull tactics time and time again, it's been proven time and time again, the best managers are the ones who see things no one else does. They're the ones who're willing to try something, put his faith in someone or surprise everyone because he has faith in his own ability as a manager.
